Andrew Shaw

If the Hawks are smart, they do whatever it takes to get a 2C, move Bolland back to 3C, and let Kruger have 4C. IMO, Shaw is the odd man out.

What value does he have around league?

Shaw doesn't have a lot of value even though he is a good player. He's definitely not enough to fetch a 2C as the centerpiece of any package.

I'd say probably a 2nd round pick.

He's worth more to the hawks then he would get

He's cheap for now and plays a good game

You got a steal in the 5th round with Shaw, everytime I watch the Hawks I notice him. Sure, if other players develop well and push him out of the scene then it would make sense - but I don't think it would right now when he means a lot to the cup run.

To Chicago

C Derek Roy

To Dallas

C Andrew Shaw
pick (unsure of value)

Chicago gets a solid 2C that can bump Bolland to 3C where he belongs. Dallas gets a nice bottom 6 addition and a pick for one of the top UFA rentals.

The best pick we could offer is a 4th in 2013.

I'm all for this trade though, as long as it's not a 1st.

I'd forgotten you'd traded away your 2nd and 3rd this yr.

I think the Stars could get a better offer than 4th + Shaw from another team.

Shaw + prospect for Roy? Obviously not a top prospect, maybe B level?

Shaw is affordable productive young talent

No reason to trade him especially when he can move back to wing and play with Bolland if Hawks picked up a real #2 C

No reason to trade him, but you want a #2 C? You can't give up scraps for #2C.

I would do Shaw and Ben Smith for Roy.

Considering its a real possibility that one or both of Stalberg and Bickell price themselves out of Chicago, trading Shaw is a bad idea. He's the exact type of player this team needs. Works hard, does his job, low cap hit

Much more valuable to the Hawks than he is anyone else. The Hawks will over value him.

doubt you would get a 2ed line center for him....

Shaw doesnt have much value yet.. he would have more if he was a first round pick. he shocked everyone by his play when he first got called up by the Hawks in 2011 season when he was just drafted..

id love Shaw on NYR but doubt he gets dealt.

I really hope we don't trade him anytime soon. 19 goals in 69 career NHL games at cap hit of 0.565M. Losing him would actually make it harder to resign our other depth players.

A firm favourite in Chicago, I hope he is going nowhere. He has shown he can play all three forward position and, at a push, on any line. Love his tenacity, he plays a fierce game without daft penalties. Finishes his hits, is fearless and will drop the gloves if necessary.

Make him a Blackhawk for life!
