Alright guys, the league is called "The Bluth Company II" if you haven't already joined. We are going to try and start up the league either Saturday or Monday, regardless of how many CPU spaces are available.

Here is how we are going to do it:

Season 1: Full sim. 3 day period for the trade deadline, and after that simulation right up to the re-sign phase.
Season 2: Full sim. 3 day period for the trade deadline, play the rest of the games afterward with 3 days between each two week advance.
Season 3+4: Triple advances through the season up to the playoffs.
Season 5+: Regular schedule. 3 days for each two week advance, with a simulation once every three blocks.

Assuming that works for everyone. Gets the league started quick, puts incentive on shrewd GM skills the first few years, and brings us to season 5 quickly.

If Rangers are available, I'll take them. Haven't played the new leagues with latest rosters and whatnot.

GT: NYR x Matt

Yep, you can take the Rags. Just make sure you are active and know how the first four seasons are going to work!

If Dallas and San Jose agree to it, sure. Dallas doesn't even have a GM right now.

They were acquired at the deadline, not in the offseason. I'm not sure the same standard should be applied.

I don't really think we should mirror real life trades.

Also, how will UFAs work? Might reconsider making some trades as I can rework a lot with smart UFA pickups.

This is how year one will work, assuming we start on Monday.

Monday-9 PM: Simulate to the trade deadline
Thursday-9 PM: Simulate to the draft
Friday-9 PM: Simulate to the re-sign phase
Friday-11:59 PM: Advance
Saturday-5 PM: Advance
Saturday-11:59 PM: Advance
Sunday-11:59 PM: Advance to free agency
Monday-9 PM: Advance
Tuesday-9 PM: Advance to the start of the regular season

So season 1 will take about a week to finish.

Considering we don't play any games until late in season 2, I'd say 3 days to discuss trades isn't even really needed. Wed have the whole 5-7 days until we play to get trades in.

Alright guys, this is how we are going to start the league.

Season 1: Sim to deadline on Monday. Sim to draft on Tuesday. Sim to re-sign phase Wednesday. 12 hours per advance from June 25th to July 1st (around 4 advances). Sim to season 2 on either Friday or Saturday.
Season 2-4: Triple advances each block through the season up to the playoffs.
Season 5+: Regular schedule. 3 days for each two week advance, with a double advance every two blocks.

We will get through the first four seasons quickly but allow for GMs to have control over their teams in the playoffs after year two. Make sure you take note of these days because we are going to need everyone to be active for this to work.

Advances are at 9 P.M. EST unless stated otherwise.

How much time on Monday will one get to set in any trades? I first have to be accepted into the league after I've sent in join request...which I will do on Sunday morning.

You will have until Tuesday at 9 PM when I advance past the deadline.

That's fantastic. Plenty of time to get trades in, a quick resign phase, and back to playing!

why did you both beat a CPU opponent and quit out of a game or multiple games against a CPU opponent?
