Eugene Melnyk says he'll prove Cooke on Karlsson was intentional

Just said on fan590 in Toronto that he's got people looking at the Cooke step on Karlsson to prove forensically that it was intentional and will provide the results to Shanahan and the league.

Personally I think it's laughable.

Eugene Melnyk just told PrimeTime Sports that MCooke intentionally hurt EKarlsson and he is in the midst of a forensic study to prove it.

He just said he'll prove it? What was he doing for the past month? If he still didn't find proof, I think that means there is none to be found. Great job, Melnyk.

Even though I am not a fan of Cooke and don't totally think the play was 100% harmless (although I don't think he went in to take him out for the season, potentially ruining his entire career), Eugene should just drop it.

But if he wants to spend his money doing that... I hope no one else in the Sens Organization focuses on it.

Eugene really needs to give it a rest. The guy is going to become a laughing stock for the league.

His quote about our depth at least turned out to be true

How do you forensically prove intent?

Jeez... I wish I had money to waste on forensic investigators. That or the money to spend on the amount of booze it would take for me to get to Eugene's little world. What a maroon!

I would think you could probably prove intent -- as in a forceful stomp down VS falling that way would likely cause different force. (if looking at the cut and doing tests on Karlsson while still cut).

BUT I agree with the end... he needs to give it a rest.

This will not do his club any favours.

In fact all it does is boost the 'you are a whiner franchise' factor.

Give it up, Eug.

If he's serious then this is borderline obsession.

I bet on his tombstone, he'll carve Cooke did it intentionally.

Is there no policy against making a post with just a gif in it on the main boards and trade forum?

My thoughts exactly.

He went on about the force it took for Cookes skate to go through the hockey sock, the sub sock (his word...lol), the skin, the muscle and then the tendon and implied that it couldn't happen by accident.

Lol

He must think that Cooke has tendon seeking radar embedded in his skates.

He sounded like a bitter, crazy man. Lol

Honestly I like Eugene and all, he really cares for his team, and I hate Cooke even if it wasn't intentional, but what is Eugene even going to earn with this? Is he going to get Karlsson back or something?
