Hell of a scouting report.

Completely wrong, but a hell of a report.

Have a feeling it will be along the lines of Whitney, Hemsky and a 2013 2nd for Horton

You can be very certain a team in tough to make the playoffs wouldn't likely give that up for someone who will be a UFA July 1.

you might be right, with Boston already with Lucic as an elite power forward, they can probably deal Horton to get some more depth

That would be BRUTAL for the oilers. Horton is a UFA at the end of the season, and the Oilers are not really buyers.

Maybe Whitney and a 2nd/3rd for Horton if the Oil really thought they could sign him.

**** off Chia. Why make this move? Hopefully it's just a bargaining chip.

Horton won't waive for Edm. Boston won't make a trade to get worse before the playoffs lol.

How is this brutal? Oilers get rid of a redundant d-man since we have guys like Klefbom ready to go probably by next year. And a small top 6 forward, for a younger bigger top 6 power forward, (who im sure would love more ice time). Seems like a no brainer to me as an oilers fan.

Ok, so you trade that for Horton, and he walks July 1. So how does that help the Oilers?

it's not a no brainer if Horton walks and goes to free agency

Big if guys. Horton would thrive playing with all the young talent in edm and im sure they would give him pretty much whatever he wants to re-sign.

If it's Boychuck I think it's a bad deal for Edmonton.

1. No.
2. No and how would that be a good thing? Overpay some guy with a concussion history to stay? Yeah, there's no way anything goes wrong there.

Thats pretty hypocritical dont you think. You wont give a stronger possibly better player in Horton a chance, but we can give every person who has had injury problems in edmonton lots of chances. And sometimes you have to over pay to get quality players.

Uhh BIG difference between a tweaked shoulder and a guy still showing signs of severe post-concussion syndrome as of Mar. 3 from a hit in 2011.
