Montreal's #11 Prospect by the fans

Poll #10 is one by Maxim Lapierre

Its a long way from the start of the season, so lets to a poll of the top 20 Montreal prospects. Each poll will be open for 2 days, but i may start the next one sooner if there is a clear cut winner of one poll. 40/80 rule (40 vote lead, at least 80 total votes cast)

Danis at 25 and Cote at 24 are becoming too old to be considered prospects.

Next add will be Andre Benoit, Milroy, Archer, Lemieux, Paquet, Lambert, Stewart, Sanford, Lacasse, Urquhart,

If you want someone added sooner than they are scheduled to be added, just leave a comment to that affect. I will try to make move them up as far as I can, if more than one name is to be added to the next poll i will break the tie by

1) majority of requests.
2) first request if tied.

In case of a Tie as happened in poll #6 I will count Rookie votes manually so post those here as a tie breaker. They will only be counted on a tie, i will not manually count if the vote is won by a close margin.

1.) Andrei Kostitsyn
2.) Carey Price
3.) Guillaume Latendresse
4.) Kyle Chipchura
5.) Mikhail Grabovsky
6.) Alexi Emelin
7.) David Fischer
8.) Ryan O'Byrne
9.) Sergei Kostitsyn
10.) Maxim Lapierre

D'Ago seems to be the guy that does everything well but nothing extraordinary though a solid prospect for me that will do well in his first AHL season.

Go Matt!

Jaroslav Halak or Ben Maxwell or Matt D'Agostini.

I'll go with Maxwell.

Ferland.

Why? Because I flipped a coin and Halak lost. But also because I've not seen much of some of the other guys highly rated (from the remaining bunch) like Maxwell, D'Ago, for example. They may be better players in the long run, but I've been impressed by what I've seen from Ferland on a number of occassions. He's solid (physically) and in terms of being a guy who can play at either end of the rink. He isn't a stand out offensive guy but when he is on, he can really cut to the front of the net. Plus, he has (very limited, admittedly) NHL experience. I think he can be a decent player on our team.

Next poll, think I'll have to go with Halak though, although I like what I've heard about D'ago so far.

Come on! Maxwell is a big prospect. Why is he still on this poll??? And why D'Agostini would be ahead him?!?

No sense for me...

Because D'Agostini is 1 year older and developped surprisingly well? I agree on D'ago, then its a toss between him and Halak.

I'm sure he's never had a teammate, family member or friend shorten it though...

Lappy is the safest choice of the three and has the best chance of making the NHL the quickest. His potential might not be as high, but he is far more likely to reach that potential.

Tough one. I haven't seen Halak play in a while but you gotta like the numbers he posted last year. D'Ago impressed me the couple times I've seen him and is still improving. Never seen Maxwell though. I'll go with D'Agostini for his well-balanced skills
