Yakupov over MacKinnon any day of the week. with that said, I still want MacKinnon. The Oilers have no centreman if RNH is hurt.

A Hall MacKinnon Yakupov line would be awesome.

Hall MacKinnon Yakupov
MP RNH Eberle

Edmonton won't accept this kind of a deal. For sure. Nail's playing well. Why would they even bother trade?

Because most 1st overalls become all-stars doesnt mean Yakupov has to, so you value him of what he is today, not the future.. and if Oilers dont like the value, then keep him.

I'd take MacKinnon over Yakupov any day anyway..
LOL what?

You value PROSPECTS for how good they are now, and not what there potential? Haha ok then bud.

No. False. This is about as far from the truth as you can possibly get.

Yakupov is in his first NHL season. He's 19 years old. To suggest that you don't factor in future potential into his value is, frankly, absurd. You can't not factor in his future potential. It's one of the reasons he was drafted 1st overall to begin with. You're suggesting that all of the scouting done on Yakupov, all of the potential, all of this becomes completely irrelevant after he plays a few games? Yea, no. That isn't how it works.

Yakupov's rookie season keeps being compared to that of Stamkos and Hall, but he'll have to improve a fair bit to match their paces.

Nail Yakupov
6.45 S/60, 0.82 G/60, 1.23 A/60

Steven Stamkos
9.2 S/60, 1.17 G/60, 1.17 A/60

Taylor Hall
9.42 S/60, 1.11 G.60, 1.01 A/60
