We're still a playoff team IMO. But Hab teams aren't built to last very well through seasons. So thank god it's only 48 games. And right now, Markov is finished as a quality NHL defender. He just can't move anymore. The signs for a slump were there and now Diaz and Bourque's absence exposes how we can't find any scorers in the system left over. At this point, I'll be happy just to take 6th seed cause the way things are going we will also be passed by Ottawa and god forbid Toronto. Remember, nothing's wrapped up yet. We will drop to 1-3-1 in our last 5 here but if we go the rest of the year at anything like 5-10 (with no bonus points) we can still make the playoffs but that'd be a real discouraging sign heading in. Wouldn't wanna play a 1st round series with the Pens or B's when we can draw an Ottawa or Winnipeg instead.
I honestly think people are blaming Price because they're too afraid to admit our team isn't that great (with injuries). It's easy to blame the goalie, when most of your forwards have played the worst period of the season.
Subban doesn't just deserve to be in the Norris discussion he is not officially in the MVP one as well, leading an inept group of defenders once again. And Gorges isn't helping either, he is usually great but this season everything is off for him. Whatever worked for him under Martin is gone.
Galchenyuk is our best forward tonight.
Also plase do not quote patofqc.
Really? I thought PK has been amazing. Why wouldn't you consider him for the Norris?
