Also what about Marrio Lemieux filling a complaint with the NHL over those comments, could that be done?
Not sure if 66 is going to say anything out loud. What will likely happen is the NHL is going to send Gene an email saying "Quiet down" or something along those lines, maybe fine him and hope it goes away.

He just needs to relax a bit, though to be honest I can't wait what crazy thing he'll say once the Senators qualify for the playoffs.

I like this holier-than-thou attitude by big time businessman like Melnyk. If he's into big business he probably ****ed over his share of people.

Oh, and Cooke should send Melnyk a puck every time he scores a point.

If you insist on using your analogy, it would be more like you running the red light, saying you didn't see it was a red light, but you noticed there was a crack on the red light bulb. They could in that case develop an argument that they are virtually certain that if you saw the crack in the bulb, you probably also realized it was red. In other words, using the facts of the incident to show intent.

But there is, I already mentioned it earlier and I'm a finance major not a scientist.

If the researchers can show that a player of that size, on that angle, would at a 99% confidence interval exercise between X and Y Newtons of force in order to break their fall in that position, and they can also show that Z (where Z > X,Y) Newtons of force were exercised, that would suggest that Cooke administered an amount of force that was unjustified by simply trying to break his fall.

This would be evidence to suggest that he administered additional force outside of what a normal human would do to break a similar fall from a similar angle, thus suggesting intent.

Combine that with expert testimony, and that's a scientifically based argument to suggest intent.
Yeah, because this is about finding out the truth

Not an overly emotional reaction to a nothing play that turned unfortunate accidentally.

Buckle Up.

Nah, I like my owners slightly crazy. Makes for some entertainment while the Sens aren't playing. I find it funny, slightly off base and crazy but funny. I would actually find it interesting though to see what comes up at the end of this, if anything. What will the crime lab say.

Yep. For someone who's made a career out of screwing Biovail shareholders out of a ton of money, he sure is taking the high road.

Is it true he had a plaster cast of that corner made before the ice was cleaned?

It certainly seems to be your obsession. Why are you Leafs fans so wrought up ?

Uncle Eugene is entertaining at times but he is not the only one to think it was intentional.

Someone close to him better talk him out of this. Melnyk is starting to appear like a fool to the public.
You can bet that if Melnyk pressures the league into trying this, the NHLPA will definitely have a say in things. Eugene's crazy enough to try anything apparently.

The same NHLPA that would represent Cooke in the hearing?

He's unionized and pays his dues. He's entitled to representation.

I think I read your last post wrong. I thought you meant NHLPA would back Melnyk's claims.

Oh you weren't aware of the famous Spartan who came out onto the ice to lead the Sens to victory? It was classic!

To be honest, I'd love to see them bring him out again. He's really got something going.

I saw the headline on Puck Daddy and thought it was a comedy article.

It's actually even funnier now that I know it's true.

You really had to feel for the Sens guys on the ice when that turkey walked out. I'm sure plenty of them were going "WTF is this?". You could see it in their faces.

Anybody know who came up with the idea?
