I'm pretty sure early on in the AHL season they were on the same line, then split up.

They did see some time together, but if I'm not mistaken, they were each centering a different line.

He may well may the Flyers out of camp next year, even though I'd like to see him spend a year with the Phantoms, both for his development and to make the players around him better.
Laperriere's comments about Cousins were clearly a language/communication problem. I think every article written about that clearly states that he's still having problems translating from French to English. Everyone gets what he's saying though - Cousins put himself in a position that he shouldn't have put himself in, especially in this day and age. As what Laperriere said, if Cousins is found guilty of what he did, then yes, the book needs to be thrown at him

Ben Holmstrom is supposed to be skating tomorrow (not practice). Another step in his rehab (ACL surgery in December).

I agree with how you are clarifying my statement. Yes, poorly phrased. However, it would be a stretch to say that everyone understands the same way, considering the flare-up of indignation at the time.

I know we don't have any prospects on Halifax or Saint John but this Halifax team is just unreal. Swept Saint John 4-0 and outshot them 50-15 in game 4. Outscored them 25-4 in the series. Even though Saint John doesn't have any good players anymore it's still impressive.

I still think John Gillies is the favorite for the starting spot but Stolarz should challenge him if plays like this next year too.

It's like a breath of fresh air to talk about prospects who have an impact on their clubs and who very well have a chance to be very solid players for the Flyers. I am just worried that the Chairman will tell Homer to move young assets for older players with a short lifespan in order to get into the playoffs. I really like the young core here and with good prospects and the draft coming. This will be a club that has the potenial to be reckoned with for years to come. Yes it sucks to be in the position the team is in right now but Rome was not built in a day (I know a terrible analogy).

GLENS FALLS -- It was a scary moment that could have been a lot scarier.

Just 1:36 into the second period of the Adirondack Phantoms’ 5-2 win over Portland on Sunday, Rob Bordson took a one-timer to the visor from about 15 feet away. The visor shattered and Bordson dropped to the ice, bleeding profusely.

Bordson needed 15 stitches to close the crescent-shaped cut at the outside corner of his right eyebrow. “There’s no question he had his bell rung, as they say,” head coach Terry Murray said.

“It could have been worse,” Bordson said. “My head hurts. I’m just going to go home and rest.”

The recurring theme: It could have been worse.

“With the puck coming that speed, if he goes down and is still moving, I would say that’s a good sign,” said Oliver Lauridsen, who was the first one to reach Bordson. “We got over there and he was responsive and answering all the questions and could pretty much skate off by himself, except for that he couldn’t see anything (due to the towel covering his eyes).”

Laughton had 2 goals and 2 assists in a 4-1 win against the Ice Dogs.

Stolarz won 6-2 with 25 saves on 27 shots.

Laughton and Stolarz are ****ing beasts.

I was kind of surprised not to see Laughton in Hf's top 50 for the spring.

He might end up being in the top 10. Nothing's been released yet for that.

laughton is currently 2 in playoff scoring (only Trocheck has more pts w/ 12) with 11pts in 4 games and first in goals with 6. pretty impressive.

Those are some silly numbers. I would be very nice to see Laughton go on a Giroux-like tear through the CHL playoffs. Either way, the pick looks better and better with each passing day.
