I'd be willing to bet neither of them make it to the SCF.

So tired of shootouts. Need to end games with actually hockey, not a skills competition for kids.

Even so, that would be a pretty remarkable moment in the handshake line following the series. Two forwards who spent their entire careers with one team, only to agree to be dealt in the same year to opposing teams in hopes of winning the Cup. Only one moves on.

Feaster trying to one-up GM Joe in the "Moves That Will Most Likely Backfire" game.

A conditional 1st, and two prospects? That's it?

Official details not released yet but if it's what TSN says it is, Calgary just got hosed.

That is, unless Iggy's already told them he'll resign with the Flames in the summer.

The Stars have the early lead for NHL Trade Deadline Champions of the World! Just what I always wanted.

So, I guess Iginla is going to PIT.

How about a nice Jaromir Jagr to ease the pain Boston?

They almost have to pay through the nose for him at this point right? Hell Spooner might actually be on the table. Or Jared Knight. Good Lord Joe. Make Boston bleed.

And is it just me or is that a **** return for Calgary?

It's a pretty **** return, but at least it's not conditional.

Stars still win the trade deadline frenzy by farrrrr. Good on Joe for taking a deal early instead of letting assets get traded elsewhere.

This post is kind of funny. You want to make Boston bleed good prospects while mentioning the **** return Calgary got for a younger, closer to prime player. Morrow's trade and the Iginla trade balance each other a bit making the market that much more difficult to figure out.

Well one way of looking at it is that Boston may feel the need to match Pittsburgh and may overpay to do so.

For all the **** I give Niewendyk he hands down got the better player in his deal than Feaster did. Are you telling me Iginla isn't worth one of Pittsburgh's top five prospects? That's Feaster's failure not a reflection on the price of Jagr, Roy or Robidas. Heck the deal Boston supposedly offered is better than the one Iginla forced Feaster to take. There is no NTC or only two trade choices for Jagr. That means as long as a couple of team's are bidding the price should be increased.

Wow.

How long until Feaster gets fired? Gotta be lynch mobs forming outside the Flames' arena right about now. I'd be PISSED if I was a Calgary fan! Best player in franchise history, for a couple of middling prospects and a late first rounder?

How many players on Pittsburgh have Stars connections now? Neal, Niskanen, Morrow and Iginla are the ones I can think of.

I swear to god If I see a "Pens still in need of top 6 forward" thread I'm going to flip my *****. A pens fan just said Pittsburgh is not done and should acquire Ott now.

As much as I'd like to see Brenden win a Cup, watching the Pens fall flat on their face in round one (like we did almost every year with Brenden as our captain) would be absolutely hysterical.

Pretty much. You'll find a lot of mediocre cheering for the pens, but more than likely the majority of HF posters will be cheering against them.

Seriously, 7 goals within the first 10 minutes of the game.

Can't remember the last time I've seen that!
