Western Conference:
San Jose Sharks: No
Calgary Flames: No
Nashville Predators: No
Los Angeles Kings: Yes
Dallas Stars: Yes
Anaheim Mighty Ducks: No
Minnesota Wild: No
Edmonton Oilers: No

Eastern Conference:
New York Islanders: No
New York Rangers: Yes
Carolina Hurricanes: No
Buffalo Sabres: No
Florida Panthers: No
Tampa Bay Lightning: Yes
Montreal Canadiens: No
Atlanta Thrashers: Yes

Of course each conference then has 9 playoff teams, but usually I consider the bubble team a playoff calibre as they are usually right behind 8th place.

If you assume Detroit, St Louis, Colorado and Vancouver are in and you add your two, that's only six Western Conference teams.

I'd add Nashville and either San Jose or Calgary.

Colorado, Detroit, St Louis, Vancouver, La and Dallas..that's 6.....2 of Phoenix, Columbus and Chicago are going to make it??(I can at least grasp Phoenix, but one of the others over San Jose, Calgary, Anaheim, Minny, Nashville and Edmonton??)

I'd probably agree with you if this was the Greg Gilbert era, under Sutter. They will not fall apart. I'm sure they'll lose a couple more games then they did in December but they will consistently put up enough points in the standings.

This team is NOTHING like the 2001 Good run Flames, I have tapings of a few games from then and when they were 13-2 in 2001 they still looked like complete crap in comparison to today's organized/hard working Flames.

Thanks San Jose (For Sutter, Kiprusoff)

Why dont you just use all 30 teams?

Or am I led to believe that the Coyotes are comparable to the Penguins?
