Pateryn/Weber
Collberg/Kristo
1st

I even think that package is better than Boston's. Chiarelli with a brilliant move.

What would be the equivalent from our side? Collberg, Pateryn and a 1st? I'm not in favor of Bergevin selling the farm but I'd do that trade for Iginla in a heartbeat.
Well, I guess Iginla has a NTC and limited his options. Then, he or the owner apparently still care about playoff performance and don't want him in the West. Then, Pittsburgh grabs Morrow and Murray. That leaves Boston as practically the only remaining "worthy" negotiating partner...

Koko is more valuable to CGY than Collberg because he's a C and they have easily the worst group of C's in the NHL, but that's probably pretty close in value.

Iggy's 4 team list definitely hurt them if this is the return. LA doesn't have a first this year and went all-in with the Carter-Richards-Penner trades, so it's hard for them to make another one of those trades. PIT aren't deep in center prospects either. CHI already has 3 excellent wingers and needs a 2nd line C more.

If Calgary would have been intelligent, you let Iginla make a deal with Boston and a prolongation of 1 or 2 years and THEN ask for more than rental material.....But Calgary isn't intelligent.

Even from Boston alone...they couldn't get Subban/Knight/Spooner? I like all 3 of those guys better than Khokhlachev.

Have you guys seen that hockeybuzz rumor BS that the Oilers will trade their 2013 1st, MPS and R. Whitney for Lucic? THAN, flip MPS in the trade to Boston + said package for Iginla. How to they come up with that stuff?

Well Khok have a chance to be pretty special. Not convinced by Knight nor Spooner. But true that at this point, the latter 2 seems readier. Khok still have tons of things to learn, like how to play the rest of the game aside from the blue line to the opponent's net. And Bartkowski isn't important here.

With our big win and the Iginla situation, we almost forget a news element came out tonight on the Phoenix front...

Both Darren Dreger and Renaud Lavoie came out with the double whammy that the NHL wanted to solve the Phoenix situation, no matter which way, before the playoffs, and that Key Arena was officially qualified as being an unnacceptable option.

Which would seem to indicate that we will have one more division rival next season.

Boston still lacks mobility on the backend.

And the wheels have fallen off the Anaheim bus.

He'll be 36 years old in 2 months and a UFA at years end. He's slowing down A LOT. I don't care, Boston still ain't ****.

I no longer want to see Iginla win a cup. Not as long as he's a Bruin.

For no reason, that Bouwmester streak of no playoffs interests me and I feel that if he's traded, he will have cheated is way out of it. I don't know why but I have enjoyed that streak.

Not a terrible deal for Calgary.....but depending if he signs for 1 or even 2 more years.....another steal for Chiarelli. Though Khohklachev will be an interesting player.

I remember hating to see how dominant he was in the OHL....would not mind if he is dominant in the AHL now.
