If anyone with multiple teams doesn't want to take one of them on, I'll gladly fill in.

Don't feel obligated, though.

May I remind you of how Nugent-Hopkins is doing this year?

It's still consensus that Paajarvi is worth an early 2nd/late first... so even by that standard it's 6th + 30-35 for 1st + 62nd... and considering there are about 7 guys said to be top-5 picks, we're still getting a damn good player.

Personally I think there are a lot of underrated picks in this draft, and if the top 3-4 weren't so damn good, could easily be top 5 in a different draft. I think it's a valid trade, but I'm personally not sure I could give up someone of the top 5's caliber

There is none in this one, lol.

But you know what, even though I lost that pretty badly, still quite happy with it.

Beautiful picture!!

Honestly, once I found out I got Florida, my first thought was that I was trading down. I had the first overall pick in the last 2 drafts, and as silly as it may sound, it get's boring picking the best player(s).

We were going to have it, as it was discussed before, but it just would made things more "complicated" and considering trades with players are only going until 5pm ET tomorrow, why waste the time doing math?

Islanders looking to move into the top 6 if possible. Anyone but Tavares, Moulson, and Hamonic are available to move up or acquire a pick flat out.

PM me any offers.

You are correct.

And remember folks, rounds 1-5 have a FOUR hour time limit.. and 6-7 have THREE hours. The clock stops at 2am ET and starts at 8am ET.. If you aren't sure you'll be available to make your pick, send a list to one of the names in the title. I can't speak for the other two, but I am on here about 95% of the day.

You dont trade 1st ovr picks to move down 5 spots to pick up a guy like Paajarvi and on top of that you give up another pick.... brutal......

You make the trade then... You're Florida trading it to Edmonton. You want the 6th and a forward in return.....

-You're not going to get Hall, Eberle, RNH, Yak, Gagner, or Schultz..
-Hemsky's had too many injuries..
- Florida's not exactly looking for guys with a few years left, so there goes Horcoff, Belanger, Smyth

This leaves us with: Rieder, Hartikainen, Paajarvi, Petrell, Jones, Brown, Zharkov.

One of Hartikainen or Paajarvi is who I would've asked for. Would've asked for another pick though aswell . The deal isn't as bad as it looks, if Paajarvi turns his luck around (which I believe he will) then this trade turns in the Panthers favor. No risk no reward. Plus, there is a player who could be available in the 6th spot area that would be very nice for the Panthers to get ,but I'm not going to say who .
