Guys, it's obvious Feaster did Iginla a favor, sucks for us, but we're not in the same league as the Bruins are in other people's eyes. We are not a contender yet...

Still **** the Bruins... if Vanek is remotely available MB needs to get his head out of his ass and get him... no more re-signing of marginal players.

1st rounder only conditional if Iginla re-signs. But he will re-sign.

Saskatoon Blades lost in round 1 tonight and now have 51 days off before they host and play in the Memorial Cup.. They really need to change that format of the team hosting the Memorial Cup gets to play in it IMO..

Just have the 3 teams that lost in the finals from all 3 leagues square off in a tournament before the Memorial Cup and the winner gets in..

What? The 1st is conditional on Iginla only re-signing in BOS? That's what Duthie just said.

Feaster is a joke. BOS doesn't have the cap room to re-sign him unless he signs for like 3 M.

They will make room for him. That would be my bet. Really thought there wouldn't be any condition though....Was it really the best deal on the table? They better hope Khohklachev becomes Samsonov at the very least....

Can they do it if they let Horton walk and they sign Iggy instead?

Like I said, Iggy would have to sign for like 3 M per. That is with Horton walking.

Of course, they could trade a Peverley at 3.25 M per to free up more room. But it's a tight cap situation for sure.

Buy Peverley out while you can. They don't need him. And they'll find a way to deal Boychuk.

Holy crap, conditional 1st ? Pittsburgh came out pretty well when J . Stall would only resign with Carolina and this is the best Flames could do ? Screw the our 1st plus for Clowe nonsense. Dont care if part of low return was Iggy limiting it to 4 teams, wed be complete idiots to offer close to what Flames got for Iggy for Clowe.

Horton is walking for sure. That hasn't been a debate. Now it's just confirmed. Even at 7mil Iginla fits.

EDIT: Nevermind. Forgot about Rask. Yea they'd have to move 1mil or something.

2013-2014
Salary Cap: 64.3M$
Bruins Cap: 58.1M$
RFA/UFA's to resign, Rask 4-5$M? Maybe let Horton go? Savard is 4$ or so on the salary cap, they can get rid of this.

If they don't keep Horton, they'll have roughly 5-6M$ in cap space.

No. They have like 10 M as of now since Savard is going on LTIR. Rask is a RFA who will get 4.5-5 M per. They also need a regular D since Ference is a UFA.

Okay thanks.. I really hope Chiarelli used lots of Mr Lube on Feaster.. I've always been a Iggy fan but I hope he never gets a sniff at winning a Stanley Cup as long as he stays a Bruin..

Rask will probably want similar money as Price got. I expect him to get at least 5.5 - 6M.

Just incredible again how Boston and Chiarelli seems to always laughs at trades.....Is the idea really to make Boston great? What's up with that?

And incredible how we can NEVER enjoy our wins against Boston....

I already corrected....

Hamilton would be ready to step up at that point and the rest is their prospects (Krug, etc.) and depth.

I really want to hear Feaster's explanation on this. I feel bad for flames fans. First management doesn't want to go into a rebuild when it was clearly needed, then when they do rebuild they trade their number 1 asset for cheap

And he might not be the end of the world....I mean there will be some adaptation needed....but the Bruins might be getting Carl Soderberg real soon this year. A 28th year old rookie with yet another great season in the SEL, might be ready to do more damages than anticipated.

What's lost in all this is Koko. No pressure kid. You've just been traded to a Calgary legend to their fans. And you might be the only meaningful return. No pressure...

I really want to find out how Chiarelli negotiates during trades because it's clearly effective

Gotta hand it to Chia... he's quite a GM. The Bruins are now in pittsburgh's league

... at least our new core will get some playoff experience together.
