They were bad defensively in Dallas, and they didn't look too good tonight especially facing a team on a major losing streak. We need a strong, more consistent game in Dallas on Friday. We can't start getting sloppy defensively. Gilbert looked brutal! Tighten it up before it becomes a bad habit. Backs NEEDS Friday off. There are some big tests coming up again. This is the one chance for a break for the guy.

Wasn't pretty, but the difference is that this team is now more resilient. It's fun to watch even though it's creating lots of gray hairs.

Good to see the top players getting it done. And nice to also hear Yeo wasn't happy with their play tonight. Gotta step it up. But 2 points is 2 points.
100% agree.

Koivu wasn't smiling because of the win. He was smiling and celebrating hard, because he knew Russo was out of town and not waiting for a quote in the lockerroom.

Better than in years past when Koivu wouldn't really admit when the team played poorly in a loss. Very different team in many aspects this year.

That's not an infraction waiting to happen...it would only be if you posted it on the Nucks board.

Backstrom was a mix if his early season flopping form and stellar form. He was just able to come up with enough big saves at important times to give the Wild a chance to claw its way back into the game. Good to hear the team sound disappointed with the way they played, they should be. They didn't play that great, got an early lead and then took their foot off the gas and the Coyotes battled back and probably deserved to win. Yet winning games you perhaps shouldn't are hallmarks of a good team. I have a full game recap, a complete game-by-game preview of the NCAA Men's Hockey Tournament and an Aeros update plus two short updates on Graovac and Dumba. Enjoy!

Still want to see Clark get his Wild debut but Stoner's played pretty well the last few games and Falk looked good tonight too so I doubt we see Clark until an injury hits.
