So they didn't do that great if that is indeed the package then It's fun to blame Feaster, but if he only had so many teams he could trade Iginla to, it did tie his hands a little. Still hard to believe that's the best package they could get though.
How are Alex Khokhlachev and Matt Barkowsk as prospects anyways? Can't say I've ever heard of either of them. Who would they compare to in our organization?
Bartkowski is absolute garbage. Nothing more than a 7th Dman / AHL fodder. A non physical Holzer.. Basically useless.
Koko has great offensive ability, needs to improve defensively. Has good passing skills iirc (going by what I remember from WJ's). Maybe a 2nd liner-ish guy. Kind of like Colborne in a sense as a comparable to our system.
people still want to trade Kessel for a package similar like that?
Kessel would get a lot more than that if he were traded this season. Next season he has a NTC and NMC and that would pretty much put him into Iginla value. Iggy gave a list of four teams he would accept a trade to, that's what killed his value so badly. I'm having a hard time believing this was the best offer Feaster got for Iginla. Maybe Calgary didn't want him in the West next season? That still leaves Pittsburgh open, it's crazy they didn't offer more than this deal.
I've seen knuckle heads on the board proposing Kessel for a 1st and a decent prospect many times around here. The same people who keep wanting to trade Kessel and calling him expendable/not needed, not naming names but its obvious the guys I'm talkin about.
