No Staubitz got benched because two shifts in a row he kept making bad passes back into our zone. Lead to us being pinned in our zone. I'd like more physicality too but Staubitz was simply bad last night. Not the only one obviously.

I think the amusing thing here is that Carlyle did the same type of thing, in the same situations. If you're trying to get back into a game offensively, you lean on the players capable of providing said offense.

Staubitz got benched because on multiple shifts he couldn't get the puck past center ice on multiple attempts. He also hasn't managed to lay a big hit on anyone in at least 3 games. He wasn't effective at his game.

Didn`t saw what Staubitz did or did not did in last few games, but whole teams confidence and energy can be turned on by some physical plays.

The only difference is he lets his role players play their game and doesnt mind sending messages during decided games.

Boudreau lets his role players play their game too, and I think he lets the players decide what message they want to send.

I'm tired of this soft team. Call up Maroon and go with a lineup of this against division rivals:

Palms-Getz-Pears
Ryan-Holland-Selanne
WKC
Beleskey-Maroon-Staubitz

No cheap shots against that lineup. just watch how effective that 4th line would be at laying the body. maroon played 4C once against the KIings I remember and he did fine.

Roster is maxed at 23. No callups possible unless either there's a trade, a roster player goes through waivers (not happening, it'd be idiotic), or one of Palmieri/Etem/Holland goes down. If/when Bonino comes off IR, one of those scenarios MUST happen. So no Maroon, no PL3, no Lindholm, no Vatanen, people need to stop calling for those players because until a trade happens or one of the youth movement gets demoted, it literally cannot happen.

Staubitz isn't the kind of player you think he is. He has more than enough opportunity to throw his weight around and send a message but he doesn't. All he does is make mistakes but for reason because he's one those "tough players" you completely ignore that fact.

That fourth line would never get the puck out of their own zone. Ever.

These games are getting very hard to watch. Very boring hockey team right now. No hitting, nothing. This team is soft and we're getting exposed.

Sorry I don't count these soft hits. I want Maroon and Staubitz laying the body on people. Steckel and Dvorak are useless plugs. *** BB is ruining my team

Show me one time Maroon or Staubitz has laid anybody out this season.

Maroon was very effective at getting big bumps on the forecheck. No reason for him to be in the AHL. I'm very pissed off and drunk right now. BB has angered me greatly

I misread your original post, I thought you wrote "laid out", as opposed to "laying the body."

You like the Dvorak Steckel Etem 4th line? Nope, nor did I say I did.
Answers in bold Dirk.

Honest to god have you ever seen a hockey game? I think Maroon is a solid player, but to suggest that Pat should be here ahead of Etem. You are a joke

I like Etem, but he doesn't belong on a 4th line. He is the Selanne replacement. He has no business being on a 4th line. We need players like Maroon on our 4th line. Like Dirk has said in the past, 99% of successful teams have physical 4th lines with gritty players. This soft 4th line with Etem and Steckel and Dvorak sucks and gets exposed and provides no energy or tone

Brad Staubitz has never been killed by anybody. He stands up for all his teammates and will fight any heavy weight. He is a true team guy and should be recognized for what he brings to this team. Ask anybody on the ducks team, they love what he brings.

If you want success in this league you need 4 lines playing. I thought Steckel-Beleskey-Etem was a solid line that brings toughness, speed and scoring. You don't need heavy weights in the playoffs.

Toughness?

None of those guys belong on a 4th line, and yes, we do need enforcers for the playoffs. Especially when it get physical. This soft line that we showcased today is horrendus and a disaster to the team. It is seriously alarming that BB doesn't realize how big of a disadvantage we have without any tough players that provide hitting and energy. At least put a 4th line of Beleskey-Steckel-Staubitz. At least that line hits...unlike the 4th line from today that just did absolutely nothing good

we are talking about regular season and that 4th line strikes fear to 0.0 teams in the league

Most 4th lines don't. This isn't the Legion of Doom, we're talking about.

And for the record, I don't think our 4th line in 2006-2007 scared anyone. Like, at all. Scary was going up against a blue line that had Niedermayer and Pronger, a Conn Smythe goalie, the best shutdown line in the league, and two scoring lines. Take all of that away and no one thinks the team is scary, 4th line or not.
