I heard Keith Jones said that the Penguins didn't have the money to acquire him. Damn you Keith.

Man, I wish Calgary had been good enough to kee Iginla for life.

Good for him, personally, that he gets another shot at the Cup.

Brutal trade for Calgary.

According to NHL.com article.

To Pittsburgh:
Iginla

To Calgary:
2013 1st Round pick
Rights to unsigned draft choice Kenneth Agostino
Unsigned draft choice Ben Hanowski.

If they go out in the first round I'll die. I will literally L-O-L for like a week straight.

Iginla pretty much forced his team to take a **** tier deal to go to the pens. If I was a flames fan, id be livid trading the face of the franchise for a low first and two nobodies that will most likely be ahlers.

Feaster is an idiot. The Bruins trade was way better even if the 1st wasn't guaranteed.

Khokhlachev was the best player in either deal and the only one with top 6 potential.

If they don't win the cup, they are going to be labeled a massive failure.

Such a shame to see such a classy player go to a classless organization, even though he chose to.

Ha, so much for a deal to Boston being done.

I wonder how long it will take before he starts diving and throwing cheap shots?

Go to the Pens board and look at the thread that's called ''Flames fans jumping ship''. Their bandwagon fanbase is just getting bigger. I have no respect for fans that do that. I understand wanting to see Iginla win a cup, but to totally change the team you root for? That's almost as sickening as the Flyer fans who converted to Kings fans.

those folks were never true Flames fans. Just like the Flyer fans who converted to Kings fans because of the Richards trade.
Maybe Briere has a quick recovery and we can ship Briere to Boston.

If I was a Flames fan I would want them to lose ASAP. Because the 1st rounder is about the only thing worth something in that deal.

Wow, it's one thing to pull for a player you like, but dumping your team is pretty drastic/drama queenish.

Then again...Feaster.

Maybe Boston becomes desperate to acquire Briere? Unlikely but I can dream.

The main boards are already engraving their names into the cup already. I'm guessing they didn't watch Fleury in net last year.

I can't come up with a good enough word to describe how bad that trade is for the Flames. Feaster is gonna be flipping burgers in a matter of weeks.

That's what it's gonna come down to. Although having Vokun to back him up certainly helps.

Can't wait until that team ***** the bed in the playoffs again. Going to be wonderful. I'm going to have a hell of a time.

He's shown he's capable of pulling a Fleury also.

A Fleury meltdown and first round exit for the Pens would indeed be hilarious, but not as hilarious as it would be if they'd actually paid for Iginla.

The main boards have several of those thread annually. They're generally always wrong.
