Shero lives to win and out deal, GMGM lives to get through another day.
Conference championship go will through Pittsburg if Fleury isn't that bad.

GMGM please take some lessons.

My jimmies are really rustle right now. At one point it was us and the Pens and no one else in the East. We've gone down, they've gone up. The really pathetic thing is that their stars have missed more games in the past 3 seasons than we have, yet they continue to outshine us. Thats how you build a team George. Take chances you *****.

Pens pretty much traded all there picks for next 2 seasons and entire minors for 3 rentals

They traded a 1st and 2nd this year, a 2nd next year, Joe Morrow, and two random prospects. All their picks and entire minors? Please. They traded three picks over two seasons, and the two random prospects weren't even in WBS; they were in NCAA.

I just hope they get blown out in the first round of the playoffs. Every fan in pitt will be on suicide watch and all of those trades will have been wasted for nothing.

I still hope they move to Kansas City. Just part of being a Caps fan.

It isn't but Iginla controlled the process. That's on Calgary for waiting until now to do what was bloody obvious quite some time ago.

Even if Iginla controlled the process, doesn't mean you have to accept a **** deal from Pittsburgh. Wait until the deadline, get the best deals you can, and go to him with the ones you've accepted in principle.

I wonder how the Iginla to Boston "leak" came about. If Feaster knew that Pittsburgh was the only destination that Iginla was going to accept, perhaps Calgary let that "news" come out in order to try and drive up the Penguins offer? Given what Calgary accepted from Pittsburgh, it certainly seems that Shero was aware that Iginla wanted to go there, though.

That's what I don't ****ing understand. Regardless of Iginla's choice of where he wants to go, it is Feaster's responsibility as a GM to get as much value from a trade as possible. Screw what the player wants, you are looking out for your organization first and player second or third. Terrible deal.

Sell Ward and Chimera for futures. Get the Flyers to give us Hartnell for half price. Ribeiro 4 x $5, Scuderi 4 x $4.5. This might handcuff us past next season, but I think we'd be competitive.

Hartnell ($2,375,000)– Backstrom ($6,700,000) – Ovechkin ($9,538,462)
Forsberg ($1,491,667)– Ribeiro ($5,000,000) –Brouwer ($3,666,667)
Wilson ($1,325,000)– Beagle ($900,000) – Laich ($4,500,000)
Hendricks ($1,000,000)– Perreault ($1,050,000) – Fehr ($900,000)
Plug ($500,000)

Scuderi ($4,500,000)– Green ($6,083,333)
Alzner ($3,000,000)– Carlson ($3,966,667)
Erskine ($1,962,500)– Orlov ($900,000)
Plug ($500,000)

Holtby ($1,850,000)
Neuvirth ($1,150,000)

Total - $62,859,295

Word is Iginla said "PIT, BOS, or LAK," Feaster got the deals together, Iginla made the final choice of PIT. BOS came so close because that was the deal Feaster wanted, but Iginla had the final say.

In a league that doctored a lottery for the Penguins, is this a surprise?

And its really really simple. Shero keeps adding pieces around Crosby and Malkin. GMGM sits and hopes bottomfeeders somehow manage to elevate their play and help out Ovi and Nicky. He is such a ****ing idiot.

Clearly Shero is an idiot. The proper way to build a team is to purge all the talent surrounding your star players and then blame them when you're not winning because they're not "carrying" it as much as you want them to.

Just to think, with Semin and a solid defenseman acquisition we'd be pretty much on their level, on paper at least

That's just the point though isn't it? This is a ****ing message board. We actually don't have a clue, and neither does GMGM. He's a ******* amateur.

Heard on 980 earlier while driving around Not-Charm City that OV took a puck to the face during practice and a significant amount of blood was on the ice as OV went to the training room "in agony". Uh-oh.

Probably wrong thread for this, but it seems it would impact the roster...

*edit*

Meh, nevermind. Just took a chunk out of his chin.

Pens front office certainly has been run better after stock piling draft picks to build a strong core.

GMGM let Semin walk for nothing
Shero trades Staal for Sutter and a top 10 pick when it was clear he wasnt in long term picture

GMGM brings the likes of Crovo, Arnot, Wideman and waiver wire pickups at the deadline
Shero brings in Hossa, Neal, Iggy, and other strong vets as in season moves.

Sad to see such a bright young core mismanaged to this point. Shero is playing Chess and Ted and GMGM still figuring out the rules of checkers
