Machinehead is right. At this point, I don't care if it's the Devils who beat the Penguins. I just want nothing more than to see that franchise fail.

(Except for the Rangers winning the Cup)

Stop with the Cup crowning. Their goalie is a sieve. All it takes is one hot goalie and goodbye picks, goodbye prospects, goodbye rentals and goodbye Cup.

Plus, Shero changed the complexion of a team that had the best record in the EC. when Neil Smith made the '94 trades, the team was playing poorly.

A rookie goalie and Bryzgalov beat the two Cup favorites in the first round. Nuff said.

Feaster:

1. Offer-sheets ROR, who would have needed to clear waivers.
2. Turns a ****** package from Boston into an even ****tier package from Pitt.

I'm going to bed now. Hopefully Iggy is an LA King when I wake up.

Well this sure is an uphill battle for the Rangers. In a perfect world we play well and snag the 6th seed and the Pitt killers (Flyers) go on a ridiculous stretch and get the 8th seed....

Realistically though who would be the best 8th seed match up against them?

Us and the Devils. Toronto and Islanders have no experience and aren't that good, not sure if Canes or Caps will make it but I don't see them beating the Pens.

Anyone think Calgary fans are pissed at Iginla? I'm hearing that he was only going to waive his NTC to go to Pittsburgh. Face of their franchise and they trade him away and all they get is 2 no name prospects, who are both unsigned, and a very late 1st round pick.

Oh well, I'm not as pessimistic about this as everyone else. Could end up being a Rangers dark years scenario where there's too much talent and only one puck. I mean, I guess not really because Crosby and Malkin are the two best players in the world. Ugh, maybe I am not feeling this.

I guess at the end of the day we have to be glad this is hockey and not basketball. The most stacked team doesn't always win in hockey.

Sather needs to sit on his hands. Don't react. No need to this season as of now.

No way are teams sitting on their hands after this one.

If we were actually contending I'd say "yeah sure, respond, go get everybody" but we're barely holding onto an 8 seed by our chin hairs. Let's not do anything rash when we might not be going anywhere anyway.

Usually, injuries is what derails the team. Who knows what can happen.

Honestly, I'm more pissed with Dallas. Those idiots trade players to the Devils and Penguins and get scraps back.

"But we go Goligoski"

Up your ass with ****ing Goligoski!

Don't worry, this is hockey not basketball. The most stacked team doesn't always just cake walk to the finals.

Let's all just keep our fingers crossed that they have a hard time developing chemistry, their D stops playing well and they limp into the playoffs struggling. Maybe a few more guys break a toe or two lol.

The team with the best record in the East and who is on a huge roll just turned over 17% of their lineup midseason.

Count me as skeptical, although I wouldn't exactly be surprised to see them go all the way either.

Calgary have some legacy to live up to in this trade unless I am misstaken.

Kent Nillson (highest scoring PPG/franchise) was traded for Joe Nieuwendyk who was traded for Jarome Iginla who was traded for?
