not to bash crosby but that goal against theo in the shotout is way too much overrated.

The Ovechkin one is downright heroic to me. You cannot ask any more of a player, and there are only a handful of players in the history of the game who could have hoped to score such a goal, in my opinion. This needed a lot of skill, strength and self-belief.

Denis Savard goal = Best of All time...

Lecavalier got a great one to..similar to AO goal, Vinny falling on the ice, and dump the puck into top corner.

There was also an amazing goal at an all-star game a few years back involving Mario, where Mario played a soccer-like "dummy" to let the puck go beyond him (I believe between his legs), to Paul Kariya I believe, who roofed it. It was extremely unusual because this is much more of a soccer play than a hockey one, and even in soccer is not used effectively very often.

that wasnt an allstar game, that was the gold medal game of the 2002 Olympics in Salt Lake city when Canada won gold against the States.

Didn't we have a thread about that Hisey goal a couple of weeks back? Anyways, thanks for posting that link above znk, that guy has some incredible hand-eye co-ordination. In the past, I've tried rolling the ball one way down the shaft then back the other but never had much success with it. That guy just makes it look, well, almost effortless.

Yeah, Savard's goal has never been topped

Yzerman has a beauty against philly from early in his career. I'll try to dig it up. It reminds me of Savard's goal. There's a goal by Bure against Jersey that deserves some recognition as well

I think the #3 goal by Bure in this video is his best http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UEtcqD06MXo

Nicest goal is Lemieux against the North Stars

I can't find a link to the video, but Jagr's goal against Chicago in the 1991(?) Finals where he weaves through the whole Hawks team is pretty nice. You know the one.

This one by Montreal's own Luc Robitaille is pretty too

I say the Ovechkin one vs PHX is the best. He has sick instincts and no one will repeat what he did imo.
