MSL will take more assets to acquire since he's under contract for 2 more years and still a very effective player so he won't be cheap. Expect the Bruins to now get Clowe though.

Here's the deal though: St-Louis makes 5.6M per through 2015. If they want to pay Marty 5,6 mil when he'll be 40, by all means be my guest. Also, he's got an NMC, and he's won the cup, so... asides, Tampa isn't in the same situation as Calgary, they have Stamkos, so they'll want somebody to play with him now, not Khokhlachev.

And Clowe? He's bottom six. Who cares, he won't beat us. And we're probably in the running along with other teams, so they'll have to pay for him.

Streit to the Bruins scares me more than St-Louis and Clowe.

I don't think Clowe is much of a use for the Bruins.

St. Louis though...please no.

Bruins organization is earning a bad name for itself.

Time to restart for them.

That needs some flowery script font saying "27/03/13 Never Forget, Always in our Hearts" or something.

Aaron Ward sacrificed his job to troll the entire Bruins fanbase. I hope he recovers.

Oh man...there's already some Bruins fans who changed their avatar to the pic of Iggy in a Bruins' jersey...I so wish I could see their reaction when they wake up tomorrow and see the news.

Apologies, had multiple sources confirm a trade that did not happen.

It's more like their fans are acting how I'd expect people in the Deep South to act if they really loved their hockey teams.

It's just weird. I spent my summers in the Boston area as a kid. People weren't bat **** crazy. Maybe it's some mental disease that only attacks the brain in colder months.

There are some of the most hilarious threads ever over there right now. I highly recommend the 'Flames Fans Jumping Ship. Introduction Thread' one as well.

Wow.....Great move by Pittsburgh....sucks to be Boston this morning that's for sure. To be able to give 2nd rate prospects (though both D'Agostino and Hanowski are interesting ones) for Iginla is just great. To be honest about Feaster....He probably did the beset he could with the "list" he had. Iginla the hero, didn't let him with much choice. At least, Feaster gets an unconditional 1st rounder which is also great in this draft. And if it's also a case of Iginla chooing Pittsburgh more than Boston well how the hell do you want Feaster to have the greatest of a deal? Koko is still the most interesting prospect of all 3...but at least Feaster gets 2...

Now, if any other team is interesting in dealing with Boston needs to realize this....you have Boston where you want them. They look bad right now, they will overpay. MAKE THEM! Like somebody said....Bruins has to upgrade their D and work on their PP. They will be aggressive with this. Streit is indeed an option. And wouldn't be good for us or any other.

Wow so just a great night all over that continued to the morning! You can't ask for more than this.

Now....moving on to the Clowe watch and St-Louis watch? Both would be nice additions for anybody....Especially St-Louis. That could make up for losing Iginla. Though, let's hope Yzerman is wise....

I can't help but think Montreal may have had a part to play in his decision.

Boston WAS on his list and offered a better package. The Bruins sit the players, Igginla sits and the "announcement" is supposed to be made after the Bruins game. Than the Bruins blow another 3rd period lead, start diving and winning, lose and all of a sudden Iginla says, ummmm no rather go to Pittsburgh.

Sounds like a sabotage job to me by Montreal. I guess we'll never know what went through his mind but I think we had some role in his decision to go to Pittsburgh.

In any event, Pittsbutgh, wow. I hope they play Boston in the ecsf and us in the finals. Would be a duuzy!
