I dont believe Bourque left a team hanging out to dry

I think he preferred Philly just so he could be close to his family but went to Colorado

Just don't understand how Kaberle and Morrow get a better return. We are talking about a player who scored 30 goals in every season in the last 10 seasons. What a terrible, terrible trade.

Wow, I am completely shocked. Decided to call it a night after Aaron Ward said he had been dealt to bean town and Mackenzie said that no announcement would be made during the evening.

I feel like I shouldn't be surprised because I always felt Iggy wanted to go to Pittsburgh, but I am because It's not too often TSN gets this sort of thing wrong. Not to mention the return... Dear god.

I'm not a pens fan, but I am a hockey fan, and I'm genuinely excited to see Iggy play with Crosby and probably Kunitz! Couldn't be happier for Jarome!

WOW! not sure what happened here... its another Calgary's GM debacle I'd say! I hate to say it but this trade makes the Phaneuf trade look like a steal for Calgary & even Morrow got a better return than Iggy...

WOW, just WOW Feaster!

Lol absolute highway robbery by the Pens. One of the best wingers in the game for 2 nothing prospects and a 28-30th overall pick. Shero is a god. I'd say I feel bad for the Flames, but we had to suffer through JFJ so this feels good.

Kaberle and Iginla both were able to ultimately decide where they wanted to play when they were dealt so thats a good comparison. It makes this trade look pathetic for the Flames

I don't know, but like I said, he blocked a slightly better trade with Boston.

Maybe he actually did CGY a favor by driving up his asking price by including a few other teams he would allow a trade to, while knowing all along he only wanted to go to PIT.

Guess it's always good to get something for your aging, soon to be ufa captain, amirite?

I mean, would suck to be in a canadian market, have him block a trade and end up signing in Vancouver.

On paper, this makes the Penguins invincible. But I remember everyone saying the same thing about the Rangers before the season started.

Thank God the Habs won't play them in the first round.

Wtf happened last night? I went to bed at 1am and it was 'done' in principal with Boston for a reasonable, but underwhelming return. I wake up 7 hours later and it's really done to Pittsburgh for an even worse return? Baffled by CGY management, not just on this but over the course of the past few years. Probably the worst run team in the league. I usually reserve that honor for the Isles but they've largely gone with youth and tried to rebuild. Calgary seems to annually considered a long shot at best and bottom dweller at worst but maintains a win now attitude. I don't think you could get a monster return for a UFA Iggy, but this is truly underwhelming. Meanwhile, Pittsburgh... wow. Seriously, what did happen?

lol wut? The return is horrible and he prevented a better return by blocking the Boston trade.

Not surprised. Why would Iginla agree to go to a team that's not even first in their conference?

As a Bruins fan, I'm disapointed we didn't get Iginla. Him going to our only real rival in the East is nothing to make me feel better...

Still, it's nothing comparing how Flames fans must feel. Awfull return for what was the biggest fish in the sea for this deadline.

Maybe the Flames had both the Pens and Boston offers listed as equals and decided to use the game last night as a tiebreaker... Bruins win and he is there, lose and its the Pens.... looked like a sure win so everyone thought it was to Boston, then the Habs snatched the game away lol
