Who would you rather see the Bruins eliminate this year? (Montreal or Pittsburgh)

Given what's gone on, what team would you enjoy seeing your Bruins send packing more. Their all time hated rivals and still current thorn, the Montreal Canadians? Or the team they never can beat and always get all the nice shiny things the Bruins can't, the Pittsburgh Penguins

My vote, at least this year, is the Penguins. Short of actually winning another cup, no victory could be sweeter than that. And I want them at full strength too. I want Crosby out there, Malkin, Letang, Neal, Orpik, Kunitz, Dupius, Fleury, Morrow, Iginla...all of them

Also, at this point, I'm sick of the Habs. Yes, I know it's a great rivalry. I know it's great when we beat them, but it's at a point where, the negative of losing to them is so much more significant than the positive of losing to them.

Know what I mean?

If we play them 10 times and win 8 of them. The joy of those 8 wins is trumped by the aggravation and misery of those two losses. Keep them away. Give me Pittsburgh. I'm usually pretty good about it when we eliminate someone. I never rub it in or dance on their graves, but THIS TIME? It will be like a broadway musical taking place in a cemetery. I'll be like Gregory Hines up in here

No team... No matter what they do, Can compare to the joy of eliminating the Habs.

Well... there's always the odd new poster that don't understand the most played rivalry in all sports.

I fully understand it. I've lived it for over 30 years

But it can take a break for one year

Both.

But if you put a gun to my head to choose, I would still easily pick the Habs. Knocking out them and their arrogant fans is the best thing that the Bruins could do.

Habs

The loss to them last night still hurts more than not getting Iginla

Habs worked hard to win, not saying it made me happy, but they fought to get there. Penguins just happen to have Sidney Crosby (and a better team than us), and we were picked second.

Like a Gregory Campbell fight

Habs. No contest.

But we may get a chance to do both if they don't fall to anyone else before.

Pitt will be 1st, Bos 2nd and Habs 4th.

3rd is always losing to 6th so if Habs wins their 1st round, we get them in 2nd and then go against Pitt in ECF.

That will make that 2nd Cup in 3 years that much sweeter.

Definitely Pens.

They'll mostly likely get the 1st seed. That means, for us to be eliminating them, it would be in the ECF. Thus the Habs would already be out and the Bruins would go to the SCF.

Right, it's not going anywhere. We will always have Habs/Bruins, but RIGHT NOW, we need to deal with these Penguins

It's like Braveheart. William Wallace was always going for Longshanks, but first he had to deal with those damn high lords of Scotland who sold him out

They are very close to being a one and done team as it stands now?

That's a good way to see it.

I change my vote for the Pens.

Only way the 4th place Bruins face one of the top two teams is by collapsing all the way down to 7th/8th place. Or by going deep in the playoffs, but I'm not betting on that.

Both! Honestly though, as long as Crosby's on the Pens crying every game, I'm probably always going to be rooting for Montreal over Pittsburgh.

wow

Put yourself in Iginla shoes without being a Bruins fan and you would probably all have done the same and chose Pittsburgh

Habs, now and forever. The Pens are not even on the radar when it comes to playoff elimination.
