Are you kidding me? Everyone one of his passes on the PP go into his teammates skates.

Yea on PP1, as of now, i'd much prefer Martin dishing to Iginla or Neal/Malkin, not to mention, Martin has the better accuracy this season.

It will probably be Letang though.

It's been mentioned and DB could concievably give Sid and Geno their own PP units but the team is so deep right now, i'd stack PP1 and PP2 has Morrow, Kunitz or Neal, Letang or Martin still.

PP1 Kunitz-Crosby-Bennett with Martin and Iginla on point

PP2 Morrow-Malkin-Neal with Letang and Niskanen

That's what I'd like to see.

The realization that Iggy also fits our PP need. I need to go to bed.

Na **** all that. Load up. Kunitz goes off. Iggy plants himself on the left boards. Sid and Neal down low. Malkin right boards. Martin point.

2nd unit has alot of options. This team now has ridiculous depth.

Remember the olden days...just a couple of years ago....back when we used to complain about the quality of the team's wingers....

I personally like:

Kunitz - Crosby - Iginla

Bennett - Malkin - Neal

Morrow - Sutter - Dupuis

Cooke - Vitale - Adams

(Morrow and Bennett switching as needed)

Eaton - Letang (would prefer Despres, but)
Orpik - Martin
Murray - Niskanen (would like Despres in here somewhere, but)

Despres is better then Eaton. Murray - Despres would be a nice shutdown pair.

I want Despres in the top-6. I don't think that happens now.

Yea Eaton-Niskanen have been so good lately that Despres is essentially the 7th D now knowing DB.

Without Letang:

Orpik-Martin
Eaton-Niskanen
Murray-Despres or Engelland

As for a playoff lineup, this team is much better served having Crosby-Iginla and Malkin-Neal and filling in the other wings with Kunitz, and Morrow, Bennett or Dupuis. Have to find out which of Morrow or Dupuis are best suited for a checking role.

Kunitz - Crosby - Iginla
(Sid and Iggy are a give-in, and Kunitz fits this line perfectly. Not too mention the chemistry Sid and Kunitz have had this season).

Morrow - Malkin - Neal
(Again, Geno and Neal are a give-in, and Morrow can be this line's Kunitz. We're going to fall in love with Morrow, and this line.)

Bennett - Sutter - Dupuis
(Oh what, we have three first lines? This is the best two-way third-line in the league. Congratz Beau, you've made it.)

Cooke - Adams - Kennedy
(It kills me to see Vitale as the odd man out, but Adams is a solid PKer and last minute guy, and has done more to earn the spot. If TK is gone at the deadline, Vitale's in).

I'm much less sure about defense, but here goes nothing...

Murray - Letang
(Crankshaft will have to earn this spot, but I think he will. You don't need speed to be Letang's partner. Murray is going to hold **** down.)

Orpik - Martin
(Very good pairing this season. Same sort of set-up as the 1st pairing. I don't see Martin slowing down at all.)

Despres - Niskanen
(The young guns hold down a solid two-way pairing that we can feel comfortable playing at any moment in a game).

I cannot believe a line-up can look this good in the salary cap era.

This is the lineup I want to see. Obviously, I'd like Despres in, but we all know Dan won't let that happen. I just really, really hope he has some sense and realizes Glass should not be in the lineup.

Dupuis-crosby-iggy
Kunitz-Malkin-Neal
Morrow-sutter-Kennedy
Cooke-vitale-Adams
Glass

Letang-Murray
Orpik-Martin
Niskanen-eaton/Despres

I know u guys think highly of having Bennett in the line up, but I don't think he's ready for a playoff run yet.

This. Bennett just played barely over 50 pro games and the playoffs are a completely different animal.

I'm really debating if DB should reunite Kunitz-Malkin-Neal as well.
In terms of crash and bangers. Kunitz is one and Iginla is the other.

A Kunitz-Crosby-Iginla line leaves Morrow or Bennett having to do that job on Malkin's line and i'm not totally sure they can do it.

The more i think about it, the more i like:

Dupuis-Crosby-Iginla
Kunitz-Malkin-Neal

In terms of bubble players, knowing DB, it's Vitale and Jeffrey for sure and the next bubble player is between Glass, Bennett or Kennedy.

Just something for you guys to think about in terms of lines:

Iginla is a North - South player. He likes to take the puck up the boards, put on the brakes and slow the play down. He'll then dish it off, find some open ice for a 1 timer or to receive a pass. He's also great on the cycle, which is to be expected. Also, he doesn't dangle which means he's not very effective in 1-on-1 situations; so prepare yourselves for that. He's a shoot first kind of player, but he can also dish it as he put up 54 apples in '09 with Cammalleri. He finds open ice better than anyone, so as long as he's got someone that can find him (Crosby or Malkin are pretty good at that I guess... man screw you guys) you'll see him light the lamp OFTEN cause he's got an amazing shot.

Anyone else think more moves are coming? Mainly unloading for picks, however low they may be?

Cooke, TK, Eaton (fat chance but who knows)

I can't imagine Shero being fine with no draft picks.

Maybe we also trade Letangs rights for something pre-draft. These moves make me love the evil shero genius so much more. Now when working with Malkin and Letangs camp we have that, "well if you walk we can always resign Iginla (or try)".

TO THE CAP EXPERTS, WHAT WOULD WE NEED TO DO TO RESIGN IGINLA?

I don't think you'll see any roster players moved before the deadline, depth is important In the playoffs. Come the off-season and draft day I wouldn't be suprised to see some moves. Not for letang or malkins though

So he was designed specifically for Crosby?

Really really like that lineup. Unfortunately I see BB being on the short end of things here and not really being a factor come playoff time. Also not sure if Murray can play the big minutes with Tanger, I'd like to switch him with Despres. (again though, Simon prob won't get the big minutes being a young player and all)

Man what a lineup though.

posting what I think Dan Bylsma will do, not what I would do personally

Kunitz - Crosby - Iginla
Morrow - Malkin - Neal
Cooke - Sutter - Dupuis
Glass - Adams - Kennedy

Orpik-Martin
Eaton-Letang
Murray-Niskanen
