extra motivation? what to go out and slice more tendons?
If im the penguins i get rid of Cooke before someone treats Crosby/Neal/Letang etc the same way Cooke treats the other stars in the game.
i hope Ottawa targets their best players for extra abuse. Fair's fair afterall.

If Ottawa does try something of the like, they'll get a call from the league. Remember the Bertuzzi incident?

Not necessarily. Look at what Duncan Keith does every other year

Given Cookie's track record, it's not hard to believe that it was intentional. When I first watched the video, I thought it was simply an unfortunate accident. Upon further review, I can't help but think he did it on purpose. I've never seen someone chop down like that with their skate at such an odd angle.

Did he mean to slice Karlsson's achilles? Maybe not, but it sure looked like he was aiming that leg thrust.
50-50 huh? Where did you get that from?

I would be embarrassed if this was the owner of my favorite team.

Melnyk is a great owner to have, despite the craziness of a forensic investigation.

That being said, I don't see how anyone can be 100% sure one way or the other whether the skate stomp was intentional. If I had to guess, I would say Cooke intentionally stomped down hoping to hit the foot or leg and cause some pain to Karlsson, but I doubt he thought it would do the massive damage it did. But I could be completely wrong.. no one knows but Cooke himself.

Good thing he ain't the owner of your favorite team then..

Either way. who the hell cares what he says? As long as he pays the players and keeps the building lit, he can do and say what he wants..

It's a hell of a lot more comical than it is embarrassing..

Heck yeah it was intentional, I'm glad someone in the public spotlight has the balls to come out and say it.

I wonder if Mario will threaten to pull his team out of the league again because of this circus that's allowed. Someone que up the club fine/chart/repeat offender suggestion he put up last time he threatened to Rage Quit

I think everyone knows to take Uncle Eugene with a grain of salt after his numerous outrageous quotes and antics in the past.

I just get out the popcorn, kick up my feet and enjoy the show.

Happned to Robert Lang:
"News: Lang's Achilles tendon was cut by a skate during Sunday's game against the Bruins, TSN.ca reports. [...]"

Happened to Kevin Biesksa:
http://hfboards.hockeysfuture.com/sh...d.php?t=437592

"The team 1040 here in BC is reporting that Kevin Bieska is out with deep cut in his Achilles tendon. They are saying the skate went 60% through the tendon (no official confirmation from other sources). When the injury occured, you could see blood leaking out of the back of his skate. Freak injury, hope he's alright."

Happened to Jake Horton:http://finishyourcheck.com/topic/715...terloo-injury/

i saw on instrgram, that Jake horton was injured in Saturdays game. I never seen anything at the game but right after it other players were posting that he was have surgery on Monday He posted a pic(which was hard to look at) It showed that his Achilles Tendon was cut about 50% by a skate

Very few events like this are unique. Probably any amount of injuries in different configurations have happened in the 100+ years of professional hockey's existence.
Now, my question is whether Melnyk is going to launch a CSI for Lang's, Bieksa's and Horton's injuries.
