The tears from Chiapet are delicious.

Joe Haggerty ‏@HackswithHaggs
Peter Chiarelli confirmed it was a "firm" 1st round pick offered along w/Khokhlachev and Bartkowski. Not conditional as previously reported

TSN failed all over the place last night.

But Briere is a little rat that proved his character by going to Philadelphia. Iginla proved his character by NOT going to Boston. Difference.

To be expected frankly. Would you rather play with Crosby or anybody else in the league if given that choice? Specially considering their Olympic history
I still don't get how Iggy nixes the trade. If he had Boston on his list...

I said this yesterday but, there's a lesson for GMs here. If your star player gives you a list, you should get some kind of commitment in writing that he'll agree to go there if you deal him. Makes no sense for Iggy to say Boston and then refuse the deal. I mean what's up with that?

Thank god he's not a Bruin. Now I continue to hope Iggy one day raises the cup.

Yeah for sure, plus it was dumb of Feaster to not allow Boston to talk to him directly.

If you have a better offer from Boston why not give them a chance to convince him to report there?

I could be wrong, but I believe that's against NHL rules.

What rule?

Chiarelli said he asked and was denied so I doubt it's against the rules, Calgary didn't want to let them.

I've been smiling all day about what happened to the Bruins and their fans last night. The Habs stunned the Bruins with a left jab coming back to win the game and Feaster/Iginla finished them off with a hard right a little while later. Double disappointment..

I'm so glad I can keep liking iggy. Good guy, that iggy. Also glad that the pens juicing up at the deadline makes another team that can take out the bruins.

I still ain't scurred.

Renaud Lavoie tweeted last night that the Iggy deal with Boston wasn't done even after Aaron Ward said it was.. Bruin fans got on Lavoie's case and said he knows nothing and the TSN guys were the ones to trust on this. Well it looks like Bruin fans should trust Renaud Lavoie's info a little more and the TSN guys info a little less now huh..

Don't kill the messenger here. Bruins are telling me no deal in place for Jarome Iginla and no deal will be done tonight.

Yeah, I think with a healthy team, we'd be able to give Pittsburgh a tough time in the playoffs.

Lavoie is a greater reporter than most guys on TSN. He's the backbone of RDS (who is actually TSN-Habs in french), imo. As usual, Bruins fans don't know ****.
