The Rangers missing the playoffs would be some consolation, especially since their #1 pick goes to Columbus.

Only way this season could be worse is if we didn't have a first rounder. I shudder to think.

No blowouts like 7-0 or 6-1. Keep it close. Keep it exciting and hopefully the Isles leaving with 2 pts.

Remember, you asked.

There's a lot of people here who hope the Isles leave with 2 points too (myself included). We have no chance @ the playoffs and I want Seth Jones. Plus if you guys make the playoffs, that likely means the Rags missed them, which would be a nice consolation price. That being said, I still hope it's an exciting game, like you guys winning 6-5 or 7-6 (let's be honest, with our defense/goalies, it's not likely to be a 2-1 game).

I'm rooting for losses mainly because if we win a few it might give Homer the courage to try to go for it this season. It makes me sick just thinking about the possibility.

Losing to protect Homer from himself...interesting. I hadn't considered that.

If we win the next 3, Homer might not sell as aggressively (or at all). That is my only concern between now and next Wednesday.

Tonight is the last game I'm going to this season. The last two games I went two were maybe the two most embarrassing loses of the season (Melt down vs Pittsburgh and the last game against the Rangers). Do they take the streak to 3? Since the defense will have Gervais, Foster, and Gus I'm expecting the worst. But I'd really like to enjoy one last game before we tank out the rest of the season.

Do we even have anything to sell that people would want?

I feel lucky the one game I went to this season was the 4-3 OT win over Carolina. There was plenty of sloppy defensive play, bad line changes, and awful breakouts, but they pulled it out in the end. It might have been Briere's last great moment as a Flyer.

Kimmo maybe? Unlikely since he just signed an extension, but I could see many teams wanting him and I could also see him waiving to get a shot at a cup.
