Filip Forsberg got two goals so far tonight, one period remaining. Leksand is up 3-2 vs Timrå who's the biggest threat for promotion right now. If they win tonight, they'll probably be promoted.
If the result stands until the game is over it will result in:

2. Leksand, G 7, P 18, +13
--------------------------------
3. Timrå, G 7, P 9, -3

(Note: 3 games remaining after tonight. A regulation win is 3 points.) Which means that IF Leksand lose 3 straight and Timrå win 3 straight, they'll end up with the same points. But Leksand is still +16 goals on Timrå as of right now.

(If Timrå turns tonights game around it will only differ 3 points, so it's a BIG game tonight. It's an away game as well.)

Goal dif. on +24 goals for Leksand.
If Leksand don't qualify now

He should also have been credited with an assist on the last goal today (and a +1), unfortunately they mixed him up with #6 Patric Hershley. Nice pass on that play and a couple of great shots on the goals.

Minnesota was bounced by Yale in OT making Nate Schmidt available. He's pretty in demand so I doubt they land him but he'd be a good get. Boyd's line was one of Minnesota's best but mainly because the top six's work ethic was pretty crappy until the third period.

Notre Dame vs. St. Cloud State at 1:30pm eastern (ESPN3), Miami vs. Minnesota St. at 5pm (ESPN3) and BC vs. Union at 9pm (ESPNU) on tap today.

Looks like Wey's season and NCAA career will be over in the next hour.

Barber advanced with an assist. Miami will play St. Cloud State tomorrow in the Midwest Final. He's the only Caps pick left in the tourney.

Caps sign defenseman Nate Schmidt.

Among this year's top free-agent prospects, Schmidt "instantly becomes the top young defense prospect in the Capitals organization," according to Hockey Prospectus.

Kuznetsov with an assist. Traktor Chelyabinsk survive and go to game 7 of conference finals.

Really? Intriguing... would have thought Schilling would still be up there, and maybe they consider Orlov still a prospect. If they do, I'm very excited for this kid. Well, excited regardless, but you know what I mean.

Epic. As a Caps fan, hoping for a big game from Kuznetsov. Cement his Joel Ward Playoff Hero status.

If you read the HockeyProspectus page they're quoting, that phrase is prefaced with "if you don't count Orlov as a prospect anymore."

Andrei Kostitsyn just sent Traktor to the Gagarin Cup finals. They'll play Dynamo Moscow.

They came back from a 3-1 series defecit to do it.

If Dynamo Moscow wins, do Ovechkin and Backstrom get rings?

If Traktor wins, Kuznetsov has nothing left to achieve in the KHL. Really wish McPhee can convince him to come over next year. A man can dream right?

He can't with his contract.

I really hope Kuzya signs with the Caps when the khl season ends next year.
