and if I recall, we picked Mike Ricci with the next pick while the Pens drafted Jagr with the 5th selection. And the hits just keep on comin'

Correct. The political situation involving Jagr hurt him from being taken higher. Unlike Nedved, taken #2, he wasn't a defector.

I hope they win every game but honestly would be very happy if they play .500 and the young guys improve a bit and then pick somewhere around 3-6 or so.

Of course we would all like to see them get the 1st pick but it will be so painful getting there.

Isn't there a lottery for the #1 pick amongst the bottom teams so nobody tanks Penguin style? That's how we got JVR instead of Kane right???

wow that was an ugly goal

I'm glad seemingly everything we do against the Islanders turns to gold.

2/3 of a Gordie Howe hat trick.

Get an assist by intermission and make it happen in one period.

I'm okay with Hartnell falling down at the end. He was just out for a shift. Probably tired. He won that fight and looked like he was throwing tired punches as well.

We should do a drinking game with the mistakes the announcers make. They called Knuble Giroux, Gagne the center, Brayden Schenn the defenseman number 10...

What the heck: I heard Knuble called Pelle Eklund. (Not really). Let's start.

I still to this day wonder what would have happened if we had picked Jagr instead of Ricci and a few other pieces fell the other way. What could have been...
