PK Subban vs Drew Doughty (playoff run this year)

Pretty simple. Who would you take this year if you were a contender?

I would take Subban, he's a playoff beast. But Doughty won the Cup so he's already proven he can lead his team to the big honors while Subban hasn't.

Not gonna vote in this inevitable romp.

Habs fan saying Doughty. The way he played last year in the playoffs was ridiculous. Haven't seen a dman control play like that in the playoffs since Pronger in Edmonton. And I love Subban's game this year.

Had to vote Subban... I'm just too much of a homer not to. It's close, but Doughty can be/is better. Subban is more consistent imo, but when Doughty's going full steam, he's unstoppable.

Subban, AINEC doesn't even describe how easy this decision was

My homerism does though

Expecting Doughty to win by a landslide but it's alot closer than people think it is. Subban as a rookie in the playoffs had to shut down Crosby and Ovechkin playing alongside of Roman Hamrlik or Hal Gill. Tied the game 7 up vs the futur cup champs Bruins while neutralising David Krejci for the series, who then went on to lead his team in points iirc.

Doughty has played like the best defenseman in the world during the Olympics and last playoffs, so I'd pick him.

I can't see this being a landslide. The reason I made the poll was because I know Subban's no slouch in the playoffs as you've mentioned. Also he's arguably been the best defensemen this year. So I really expect this to be close

I love Subban but I don't know if he has that best defenseman in the league level like Doughty does.

Can't disagree with that. Doughty reached a level I haven't seen Subban reached for a prolonged amount of time last year. Subban did play otherwordly at times but never for multiple games in a row. He's also very very good in the playoffs. Close but I think the answer is Doughty.

Doughty. Not close. Let's see Subban lead his team out of the 1st round before claiming he's even in Doughty's league come playoff time.

Doughty. He did it last year and I think he'll do it again.

I might be in the minority but I think LA has good chances of repeating.

I am not on of those Kings fans that carries the Doughty torch in every thread, but he might be the best defenseman in the league when the games become more important.

Look at his entire playoff resume, not just last season, along with the Olympics and WJC. When it comes to playoffs, Doughty should be in the conversation against any blueliner currently playing. Choosing Subban in this poll is definitely a leap of faith as Doughty has proven it at the highest levels...not to take away from PK's playoff resume, of course.
