A lifeless team is on the coach. Especially considering that is the norm versus anybody not named Flyers/Bolts.

plenty of skill on this club. They don't need more offense. they need better coaching and a better system. I think it's really evident. Nice to see scouts saying same thing via ESPN.

Hank should start using derogatory words about his teammate.

I do find it funny people are on miller. . Guess he's the one who makes the big bucks so its justified being a 19 year old rookie being asked to help when he's not really ready

Agreed. Miller tries to make plays, that's great. But he's clearly overmatched. It's pretty clear especially in the last 5 games. But I'm 100% sure he's not going back down and therefore continue to put him in line combo suggestions.

Tortorella is also ruining Kreider. Very frustrating.

Its funny Torts got mad at the media because they said he favors Miller over Kreider but its pretty obvious. I'll be honest Kreider had a bad beginning of the year but since coming back not only has he outplayed miller by a mile but he has been one of our better players. yet he gets benched at a time when we need scoring for Just Turnover Miller. Also Kreider led the team with SOG

It'd be a real shame if they chose not to resign someone like that over money. Oh wait.....

Seriously, Prust at $2.5M per is a lot better than what Richards and Gaborik are "earning".
It all starts with the team having no idea what to do on offense other than dump and chase. And it goes on with a powerplay that is just as clueless. Ultimately, that is the responsibility of the coach.

Wait, it's not on the coach when you're whole team is routinely coming out lifeless and flat? They've either tuned him out and have a bad attitude/don't want to play or he is incapable of motivating his team. Either way, usually it's a poor reflection on the coach when the whole team plays like dejected losers from the opening horn to the closing buzzer. Not, by ANY stretch of the imagination, suggesting it's ALL on Torts, but it seems ridiculous to say he's not guilty as well.

The problem is he just really shouldn't be in the NHL.

Good lord. Talk about an understatement.

The team went like meek lambs to the slaughter.

Complete CRAP.
Hard to cheer for this team with this guy as captain. Yup. Tonight was disgraceful. For such an honest and hardworking player, he sure went down quite easily and embellished maybe 5 or 6 times.

It's more that it's so obvious he's not ready for an every day role. It's unfortunate the the personnel the Rangers possess makes him be one when he's not. Not yet, I've been saying it since he got called up.

Hank's post-game is going to be about clearing the front of the crease and how he needs to be better. He is another guy who says the same things a lot, but he at least brings some emotion to the table during his talks.

Gah, this team

Boyle wasn't terrible? Well, for a guy with two points and who play nearly 18 minutes, he certainly didn't embarrass the team except miss the net by about 10 feet...

He was actually trying to make something happen out there. One of the few players who gave a **** tonight.

What he lacks in skill, he makes up for in effort. I actually thought he was playing well, the puck seemed to be in the offensive zone when he was on the ice, tonight.

Another Loss.
Another Shutout.
Another Failure.

Not surprised in the least.

Don't do anything at the deadline. Scratch that - SELL. This team is worthless.

I actually want Miller up here. Even with all his **** ups, sadly, I still think he's our best 3rd line center option.

But yeah, he ****s up a lot. And should probably be held accountable for it.

I didn't think I'd ever see more blatant favoritsm from Tortorella after he gave Richie a shootout spot....but then he benched Chris Kreider in favor of a turnover machine and a guy who is both literally AND figuratively the biggest waste of a roster space we have.

I don't know how anyone can defend Torts anymore. I really don't. Yeah the team played with no fire or heart tonight, but where do you think that's coming from?

I don't know why any coach in their right ****in mind would take the most productive offensive line we have and stick them below the hashmarks the entire damn game. It's astonishing how out of touch he is with his own team.

Do you not see the connection here?

Isnt Tortorella a great motivator? Surely, thats working this year, huh?

Its a very good possibility that the players are just tired of him and his antics.

His coaching style has a very short shelf life.

Im tired of seeing the players slump (ie: Richards/Gaborik), but first, I would rather this see "Cup roster" under the helms of another coach before any panic moves. Unfortunately, thats not going to happen. The players will take the fall before this ****ing 14 karat ******* coach.
