I'd love to see G's head shopped on to Lieutenant Dangle's body. Not that I care for Dangles bod, just cause G dangles.

Yup, we all know Homer doesn't make rash decisions....

Leighton lets in awful goal to end season? Sign overrated goaltender to 51 million dollar contract.

Lose in Stanley Cup Finals? Trade away two cornerstone players for futures.

Need to make a push for the playoffs? Trade a 1st and 3rd for Kris Versteeg.

Need a defenseman? 1st rounder for Eminger.

The dude makes big moves one way or the other, and he sure as hell looks at what's happened recently. I'd rather not give him any hope of making the playoffs. That's the difference between buying and selling.

Do you really think these decisions were purely decided on one event?

That's the way you, as a hf poster, analyze it. It's not what it really is. Be aware of that.

Well there is clearly no hope for this team to make the playoffs now so I'm not too worried.

Flyers = sellers (with nothing healthy to sell).

This is ridiculous. All the trade pieces are injured.

No, it's not based on one event. It's not about one win or one loss. I'm saying coming in last in the conference is definitely going to send a different message to the front office than coming in 9th.

Still a week away, Danny Boy should be up and around by then. I'm confident he'll be moved. The rest of the hockey world needing that extra body to get them over the hump only need to be reminded of his reputation as one of the most clutch playoff performers in modern times.

They probably don't really think about where they finished, they take decisions on what they see on the ice.

Comes down to whether or not he knows he'll be amnestied. If he's going to Boston, they will, might as well just go and play out options in the off-season.

Ren Lavoie wrote yesterday that teams ask about Fedotenko. He does have a no-trade, but have to imagine that was to make sure he wasn't dumped to a terrible team. Gagne looks finished, Knuble is finished, but if anyone asks, the phone shouldn't be put down until something is done.

And if they see good things to end the season, they'll make decisions based upon those things?

They will consider it, but I don't think their decision will be based on that if it's a fluke. They will analyze it, and analyze the whole season. It's their job.

Snyder needs to go. Homer needs to go. The entire coaching staff needs to go. They need to blow it up!!! I've been saying this for 10 years now. This organization continues to bandaid the issues thinking they can fix it. 38 years is prove it does not work. Blow it up!!! Take 5 years of top 10 draft picks and fix it!!. The Pens are proof that this is how you win.

Snider btw, and good luck convincing him to give up the team that he brought to this city. And the Pens sucked at the best possible time to suck over the last two decades. Countless teams have employed that strategy, and none of them have a Crosby or Malkin to show for it.

I'm surprised Laviolette didn't choose Briere for the shootout: have him wander out in his street clothes to slide towards Nabokov and hit him in the logo.

Well that at least means they won't rush him back like they might have done with Mezaros.

We won't have to even attempt to tank at this point.

Coburn, Grossmann and Meszaros out... wow.

Timonen and Schenn are the only non-6th defenders left.

Timonen - Schenn
Gervais - Foster
Gustaffsson - Lilja

This is terrible.
