First things first: Bergevin DID move.....Cole vs Ryder + 3rd (Boy did we won that one)
So it's not like he didn't help the team at all.

Center (3): Plekanec , Desharnais, Eller

Winger (7): Bourque, Ryder, Gionta, Gallagher, Pacioretty, Galchenyuk, Prust.

Who is available out there that will be better than one of these players and be able to snatch a roster spot on the top 9.....with a low cost nonetheless!

With a healthy club, if MB add a top 9 winger, it means that 2 of the winger above will be playing on the 4th line.....

Mayby, and just mayby.....it's possibility to do both....rental + long term.
Mayby this would be another way of building the team.

Exemple:

Havlat + Clowe
Eriksson + Jagr
Boyes + Niederreiter

Trying to get a rental + a long term player could be a great way to improve the team now and in the long run.

Makes me mad to read everyone wanting Jagr when he's been available as a UFA for a few summers and the consensus here was that he didn't fill a need.

This is the deepest draft in years and we have Timmins and all his magic so why not go for it on draft day?
Because as you said, it's the deepest draft in years. If the prices to go up are too much, then it probably won't be worth it. I won't be disappointed either if the habs chose to not make any more changes to the lineup. This team works well, lets see what they can do in the playoffs and take if from there for next season.

Well except maybe Crim.

Yeah, talk to him
Just as a FYI, they allowed it last year. There was a "credible source" trade rumour and a not so credible thread.

John Erskine would be a good addition for the rest of the season and could be part of a 7 dmen core for the playoffs. He is tough like only a few, can fight, bring lots of leaderships. He still has 2 more years at under 2mil a year. I could see him play with The Cube

Wonder what everyone thinks!?

I'd kill for Sarich as play-off depth.

Forget about Marc Bergevin trading for a GOON or a HEAVYWEIGHT.

If Diaz is not coming back then we do need him. We will not last long with 5 dmen. Diaz comes back then we go for a depth dman like Sarich. A PP guy like Jagr interests me if we can get him for a mid level prospect and 3 rounder.

I rather think we really need this guy, perfect guy to play on our PP2 unit, he is very tall, good reach, moves the puck well and can play alot of mins..

It's just fact. Marc Bergevin will never have a GOON or HEAVYWEIGHT on his team.
He would have adressed that issue already. Maybe Marc Bergevin is a soft GM. Who knows?

Well he acquired Prust and put a claim on Stestito. He also said the team needed more thoughnes before the season started.

Sorry but Prust is far from a HEAVYWEIGHT. Why wait till The Habs get beaten up over and over. Still think it should already been adressed. But it hasn't.

Because if he gets to the net, and knows how to play there, I'd
give up a decent prospect for him. About a second round value, but I'd
prefer to trade a defense prospect because we're deep there. Someone
like Thrower or Bennett at most. Or maybe Pateryn or Ellis, but I think
they wouldn't be rated as highly.

If this isn't enough, I think we should give up on him.
He doesn't. He has one goal. One ***ty goal. Pass.

Danny Dekeyser would be signed and the Habs don't lose a player or draft choice. Dekeyser is being wooed by half a dozen teams,Montreal is one of them, signing Danny will alleviate the injury problems. He's more than ready to step into the NHL,teams were lined up to sign him last year.Rylan Schwartz is a center, that played against Danny Kristo and North Dakota, his team Colorado won the semi against them and lost in the Final to Wisconsin for the WCHA Title.Schwartz is an amazing buzzsaw type of center and would look great with the speedster Kristo on a line together.Steve Quailer the Bulldogs LW could complete the line with his size and speed.

We allowed it last year and we were also informed that it would be the last time. Technically speaking, we weren't supposed to be putting a spotlight on these Twitter accounts at all, so be happy with the time we had.

Unfortunately this year, we will not have a thread to discuss non-credible sources. Stick to credible only or else it gets deleted.
