Why the hell are Palmieri, Etem, and Gibson ahead of Lindholm?

Can't speak for the other two but in my opinion, John Gibson is one of the best if not the best goaltending prospect in the NHL.

Gibson is a great prospect, but I would still put Lindholm comfortably ahead of him, and not just because of the uncertainty involved with goaltending prospects.

They overrate the hell out of Schwartz instead for you guys.

I can think of more hilarious ways to end a list than putting a top 5 pick in the top 10.

Jonas Brodin not being in it, for example.

You can't say someone is going to be the 2nd best defenseman prospect when you haven't seen the other players play. If you have seen most of them then I wouldn't have a problem at all. I can never make a comment about Reinhart being one of the best defenseman prospects because I really haven't seen the rest of the guys play.

What has Reinhart ever done to deserve such high accolades, other than be drafted 4th overall?

haven't seen too much of all of them
Key words.

I have seen them play, but not as much I'd like and sadly never live (before the draft). Which is the case on pretty much everyone.

Maybe 5 people on this forum has seen these players enough to say that. Or even less.

How in anyway is that hilarious? Rielly and Jones were tearing up the league from the defensive side except for the two 5 year players ahead of them. Rielly out for ~10 games managed to finish 5 in defensive scoring while being younger than all but Jones in the WHL. Ridiculous a Top 5 pick can make the top 10

man, I would love to have seen some of your guys comments about first round pick Ryan Kesler when he was coming up...you would think barely 15 NHL games makes a career...

I have a hard time seeing how he is that high and a guy who has actually accomplished a lot Jacob Trouba is at what 36th??? I will beat that horse to death over how terrible and stupid of a ranking Trouba has on this list...makes no sense.

this is why I think they should just take out the goalies in these lists and simply make a top 50 SKATERS ranking, then a top 10 Goalies ranking seperate from each other...how hard would that be??? would make more sense to do it that way as trying to judge a goalie between a forward is insane to do imo.

Weird. While I feel Schwartz is rated too highly as part of this exercise, their analysis is out to lunch and he's had a fine developmental season. To say he is "struggling" is incorrect. He's been looking good and is on the right path.

Makes sense?

This.

I think a separate ranking for goalies and skaters would be much better.

You've clearly never seen Schwartz play. Keep looking at the stats.

I'm amazed that Reinhart is ahead of Murray.

So what if Murray had to sit out because he dislocated his shoulder? Galchenyuk had an even more serious injury last season and that didn't hurt his development. From reports, Murray hasn't lost a step and his recovery is going great. Also, the Islanders were willing to trade their entire draft for Murray so obviously they felt he was superior.

Hes a 20 year old who is going to put up 30 goals playing on the professional level. That should mean a bit more than a 20 year old playing well in junior...and im not picking out any of the prospects on the list hes "better" than bc then its just a pissing match. Im just surprised that bc he was incredibly misused on a fourth line of has-beens and was not NHL ready last year, that his very solid season this year is being tossed aside. ..just my opinion of course

And Brock Nelson is a better all-around prospect from the isles POV.
