Yeah, I was hoping he'd have more to do as well. But the fact that he's being included brings faint hope for other fun winks and nods and cameos to old school movies. There aren't many other actors who could come back that would make a lot of sense though. Takarada was the only one who appeared in a bunch of the movies (as a different character each time), and the other two leads from the first movie (the ones who played Dr. Serizawa and Emiko) both passed away 20+ years ago. The only other one I can think of off the top of my head is Kumi Mizuno (she was in 4 movies in the series)
Cameos are always fun for the movie buffs and also make a good fun fact if you need to impress anyone with your film knowledge.
Its nice that they reached out and included an original actor even if its just a minor part though.
In gaming news, Bioshock Infinite is really good. Really recaptures the awesome feel of the first Bioshock by keeping the same tone in a totally different but equally impressive environment. Really enjoying it.
Also, XCOM is like distilled crack, good lord. Came free with Bioshock and omg is it addictive.
I'm in love with Bioshock, I haven't played an FPS that I've liked this much in a long while. The way that game tackles racism and nationalism without shying away from it is a beautiful and disturbing thing.
Here's a great review by the Sess, probably the best review I've ever seen.
XCom was my GOTY last year, followed by Mark of The Ninja. The fact that turn based strategy games are on their way back makes me giddy.
I bought bioshock the day it released but haven't played it myself yet. Letting my girl play if first. To those who haven't played the first and second Bioshock, don't worry. Those are a different story that have little to do with Infinite. I do encourage playing them though because the story and 'world' of Rapture is amazing. I also recommend that those who finished the first two read the prequel book "Rapture," it was a damn good idea to write that book.
