Saturday against his former team seems like a good time to return.

Prust wouldn't back down and an almost recovered shoulder could go back to being a very unusable one. Not saying Prust would mind getting back in - that's actually the problem, he wouldn't take it easy. The team and doctors might (if my speculation hold any water) be making a good decision not to risk losing him so close to the playoffs. Needs to be 100%.

Still, Colton Orr is a POS. How many people have the leafs goons concussed with dirty punches so far? Drewzynski as well (I think everyone and their mom, including Cherry, agreed that Mclarent should not have fought the rookie). This is why I realllly hope those pukebags come 9th. Unfortunately I don't see any challenges from the teams below them.
I don't think you can compare a fight with a willing combattant to sucker punching a guy coming get you off his captain.

I hope karma does in the TML and they have an epic collapse, missing the playoffs for the 24th consecutive year.

The only risk in keeping Prust out (And Bourque, Diaz) is losing 4th to Ottawa, the zombie team that won't die. That would piss me off, but I can live with it. One draft pick higher too.

Shoulder separations are really bad, and if Prust's ligaments and tendons don't heal, which takes a month, he'll separate the same shoulder in the PO, for sure. And he'll keep separating the same shoulder for the next 3 years, when he becomes REALLY important to our cup window.

You are correct i injured mine mountain biking. I put off getting it looked at and kept doing what i was and finally had to have the tendons re attached along with the torn labrum repaired. Shoulders are a PITA dealing with and even worse if you have to go through surgery. Wish i could post the surgery pics but the doc sent them as a PDF not jpg files.

Not sure what you meant, or perhaps you misunderstood me. I was talking about two separate situations.

1) Prust coming back too early and getting injured cuz he'll be forced/will force himself to do something against boston with a high probability of re-aggravating.

2) I miss Bourque and I hate Colton Orr for his (exactly what need to be removed from fighting) blatant bare knuckled sucker punch.

I still find it quite humorous that there was no suspension for that. Had it been crosby and not bourque, Orr would have been gone for 15 games.

I find it disgraceful. What is more suspendable than punching a guy with your bare fist right in the face when he's not fighting you and 100% vulnerable? Even launching yourself into a guy's head - suspendable, but there's some room to argue the subjective. In this case, it's clear as day. Intent to injure, check. Hit to the head - well that's an understatement.

He still hasn't been cleared to resume practice with the team, there really isn't a timetable for his return.

The most recent updates are in the first post. We'll probably have to wait until tomorrow to have a better idea of whether or not he'll be playing.

After a back-to-back with 2 days in between our next game? I would doubt it. Not 100% sure though.

I wish we could have a Samuelsson type of player who could end career to a guy who tries to end careers like Orr. This guy deserve out of the league and nothing else.

Interesting, so he's been skating down there and is making lots of progress this week.

This doctor in ATL also worked with Toews, Giroux and Latendresse recently.

VERY VERY HAPPY about the Bourque news, but...I hope he prolongs his rest to be 100% for playoffs. I don't want anymore setbacks.

Colton Orr:
the NHL has got to change the rules...a team should be able to challenge the commissioner (Shanahan). Or an arbitrator should come in find a solution to these punches, hits that often go unpunished because the NHL doesn't care about fairness.
What the ****. I hope someone punches Shanahan to knock some sense into him. When the heck will they get 5-6 commissioners or find a better way to hand out punishment so pieces of ***** like Orr will get what they deserve.

I really hope Orr gets a career ending injury VERY SOON.

Anyways...just happy that Bourque seems to be getting better.
I still say he should take his time this time.

One that really really hurts him badly. I have no pity for criminals on ice like him that get away with everything.

What the heck is Shanahan doing? He looks the other way everytime something is done against us.
