what can you tell me about his locker room presence?

I'd trade MayRay + 4th to Buffalo for McNabb/McCabe + a conditional 2nd 2014 (conditional on re-signing, or becomes a 3rd 2014).

I'd then try to trade futures for Derek Roy (and re-sign him)...we need him more than Ott or Raymond IMO as we need another scoring centre...and Kesler is a like a much better version of Ott.

on pace for around 22 goals. Good enough finish for a 2nd liner.

There is absolutely no reason for the Canucks to re-sign him, nor does it make much sense for Raymond to re-up with the Canucks. Canuck fans who throw money at him, need to look at the Canuck's salary cap.
Except he's a 20G/40-45P winger (I think more playing with Kesler) who has a ton of speed and very good two way game.

We all know the cap.

The best option (things can change in the playoffs) appears to be moving Ballard(4.2) and Booth(4.25) for scraps or buying them out and using the cap room to resign Raymond(3-3.25 per year - he won't have a huge amount of leverage with the team as he's only producing over a shortened season, if he hits FA then he's probably gone for 4+ to a desperate team) Higgins (1-2 per year) and Lappierre (1-1.5 per year).

Jensen likely makes the team next year as a top 9 winger on an entry level contract.

In all likelihood Luongo is moved by the start of next year as well. With two buyouts in their back pocket the Canucks cap situation isn't nearly as dire as it seems at first glance.

"Mason Raymond is SOOOO good and valuable to our team we are going to trade him while he's put together half a season's worth of playing to his potential despite the fact we're trying to win a Cup"

He's been included in 80% of Canuck fans' trade proposals for a reason...
