Eliteprospects actually counts them for you, too, though. But the AHL site definitely gives you a better idea of who is "active" on the AHL roster, I have to give you that (red circle X beside guys who are injured, traded, or called up, whereas eliteprospects only tells you who is currently injured, and which players are on "loan").

I've really liked this kid's game since he got called up, reminds me a lot of Gallagher the way he'll crash the net with no fear despite his small size. He brings a ton of energy to our bottom lines and his versatility is nice, also he's been awesome on faceoffs going 66%.

He has been buzzing, this type of player will be a replacement for an Armstrong for next year...

Wow, 66%? How many faceoffs has he taken? I know he played the wing when he first got called up.

Dumont's been a very nice callup. Here's hoping he progresses and becomes an everyday NHL'er to replace Armstrong next season.

38 faceoffs, he's 25-13. Not a huge sample size but that is still very good.

I like him. And unless somebody has been traded for, I think he should stick around on the 4th line, especially with Prust coming back.

Dumont and White, both right handed, are successful in the FO circle. It does give more options to Therrien. They both bring energy but it is especially remarkable in Dumont’s case: his switch, just like Galllagher, is always on!

Also, I would not call him a speedster but his speed is above average.

Next season, I wish for 4. Moen – Dumont – White.

The thing about Dumont is he was never hardly mentioned as a good prospect. He's pretty good. Good on face-offs, never caught out of position which is rare for guy in first few games. Decent speed, kind of fiesty, handles the puck decent. Reminds me of a cross between Carbonneau and a Risebrough

I'm not saying I agree, but I think the organization's idea is more to replace White with Dumont, not Armstrong.

Denis Gauthier on L'Anti-Chambre was saying Dumont had plenty of fights in junior.

If he can maintain the faceoff rate above 60%, then he should stay with the team even when Bourque and Prust are back.

30 career fights (since the 2007-2008 season). Looks like a competent, sparkplug type fighter. Only won 46% of them according to dropyourgloves.com. Can handle himself for sure.

I do remember hearing his savvy in the FO circle was one of his top attributes as a prospect, so I don't think that's a fluke.

I think he can almost be the ideal 4th line center. Win draws, buzz around on the forecheck, kill penalties, get under opponents skin, be responsible in all zones, block shots....

Just need some size and grit beside him. Prust will help.

He seems good on faceoffs, which can only help his case as a future bottom 6 hab. I also like his ability to get in shooting lanes. He's not afraid of that aspect at all, and seems quite good at it.

Definitely. Crucial part of the coach having confidence to send you out there in any situation when your top lines need a rest.

I just love how Dumont plays the game!! Keep it up little warrior!! I think we are a better team with Dumont in the line-up and I would take him over Moen Armstrong or White any days of the week..

Yeah Dumont has always been good at face-offs. Not 65% good, but good.

Ryan White is finally getting back into things too - he played a lot of wing and his face-offs suffered. I believe he finished 1st or 2nd in GM voting in the face-off circle in his last season in the WHL.

It appears White and Prust will be back soon. Also, Dumont was a healthy scratch last game.

A trade! a trade!

Or most likely Prust & Webber off IR.

Prust back tommorow. Blunden now 13th forward. Dumont needs to play so logical choice is to get him back to Hamilton.

Would have rather kept Dumont instead of blunden. IMO he has his place in this team next season.
