Santana is almost certainly out for the year. Career has to be considered in jeopardy. #mets

He was so dominant with Twins but he couldn't stay healthy with Mets

What a shame

Alderson: "To my knowledge, the contract is not insured." Mets owe Santana $25.5 mill this year, plus $5.5 mill buyout for 2014.

Ouf...

Oh man now the Mets are screwed!

Listening to the conference call right now.. It sucks this team wasn't going anywhere but if he was on the mound it at least woulda been entertaining.

He's done with the Mets now obviously that contract was worth it for the no hitter alone.

His career might be over after this which would suck.. Mets shoulda made him play in WBC so mlb would be picking up the check.

He just pitched a no hitter last year.

Now his career's probably done.

Ouch..gotta suck to be a Mets fan right now and having nothing to look forward to in a 162 game season. I know that feeling as a Bjs fan..

That could be the end. Such a shame. 04-06 Johan was one of the most dominant stretches by a pitcher I've ever seen.

Yup, Santana was a beast in his prime.

In retrospect, not trading for him was one of Brian Cashman's best moves.

Actually, I think they are doing it the right way now and heading in the right direction, I see light ahead for Mets fans.

Even though he killed Sox often he was great pitcher to watch
