i can't actually actively root for us to lose. I still cheered when we won last night even though it's counter to what we've been saying around here. At least this way when we lose I don't get so upset, I just go "hey, one more notch up the draft pick order!" lol

Same here. I was ecstatic that we won last night against Anaheim in Anaheim, but if we hadn't I wouldn't have been too upset. I won't actively root against the Sharks, but I also won't be bummed if they lose. I will be bummed if they're the 9th seed, though.

Gotta win 4 of these next 5 home games:
'Yotes
Canucks
Wild
Flames
Dallas

If they do that, we will be sitting pretty. (and maybe closing in on the Ducks)

I just realized we have a pretty easy schedule compared to others. 10 out of the next 14 at home. All against teams in the thick of the Western Conf. playoff race (and Calgary )

I hoping to get 20 points out of those 14 games.

I want 30 points out of the next 15 games.

Is that too much to ask? One can dream can't they?

So, in 10 days our chances have gone up by over 30%. Not bad.

only 4 wins to lol, just shows what kind of roller coaster season a shortened season can be.

which is funny to think about because, the sharks this season is doing something that was done already in the past during a shortened season lol.

89.1% (+4.8%)

Red Wings (W)
Blues (W)
Wild (L)
Preds (OTL)
Oilers (W)
Canucks (L, obviously)
Stars (L)

Didn't include the Flames, Blackhawks, Ducks and Avalanche, all of which are at least 11 points ahead or behind the Sharks. The Red Wings winning sucks for the Sharks, as they keep pace (technically, the Sharks kept pace with the Red Wings since they played later, but you get the idea). The Blues have a game in hand over the Sharks - the only playoff contender that has a game in hand on the Sharks. So, the Sharks have a 5 point lead over 9th with the same amount of games played as Edmonton and a game in hand over Columbus. They're only 2 points back of home ice in the first round (granted, they're in 6th, but still).
