I wouldn't say that. They have some talent, maybe less heart, but who know, they could find that.

It would be intersting to see how many times a host has been knocked out of the playoffs early (1st or 2nd round) and the gone onto win the mem cup

It also smells real bad if you know what I mean. 2 month break while the league champs all beat their brains out just to get there. This is the second year in a row a weak team will be sitting resting while playoff teams battle....The CHL should be embarrassed by this mess.

And maybe the worst part is yet to come.....some real solid runner up with maybe as many as 14 playoff wins will be going home......so Saskatoon can play host.....f....inh joke.

From the Sports Cable TV show " on the edge " to now " on the sidelines "

Gives Molliken and team time to make new episodes and go to Yoga classes.

Given the stage, it is an epic collapse. When you're ripping them, remind yourself most of them are teenagers, the exception given to three 20 year olds. Some of them are still in classes at high school. Give your heads a shake, that's pressure that most of you probly wouldn't be able to handle. Hockey as we all know it is a game. Treat it like one.

I'm well aware of that. I played against Brendan Walker. This is why this is such beautiful schadenfreude for me.

There's been 2 teams that I can remember who have lost in the 2nd round and gone on to win the Mem Cup (Ottawa, Shawinigan), but I can't think of one team that has lost the first round and gone on to win.

Strangely enough, the last host team to lose in the first round was the Regina Pats in 2001....coached by Lorne Molleken.

Good chance to see this year's EC champ vs next year's EC champ.

If you watched the playoff series or their reality series, you might think that the coach and those three overagers in particular lack class. They are a very cocky bunch and someone has to lose, glad it was them. Most of the team are adults by the way.

They were planning to be in Red Deer. Edmonton is pretty close.

Makes sense logistically.

I wish Shaw would pick up another series, since the blades choked.

I watched the first 3 episodes of on the edge, the reason they're cocky and arrogant is guess why...there's a reality show about them. Cameras in their faces through every step, no wonder they feel like hot ****

Don't know where you live, but I haven't met many 20 year old adults before

Anyway, they're done for now. Lots more dub hockey to chat about.

Calgary defeats Swift Current 3-1 and wins the series 4-1. Calgary VS. Red Deer in Round 2. Edmonton VS. Medicine Hat in Round 2.(Inless Kootenay comes back and wins 3 straight but that won't happen). That's how the East shakes up. WOO! Red Deer VS. Calgary. Battle of Alberta. We'll see you soon, Calgary!

McColgan in particular has always been a dbag, well before he ever got to Saskatoon. It has nothing to do with the tv series.

They mock and laugh when the opposition doesnt score in a shootout. They are classless and it starts at the top with the coach/gm.

20yr olds arent adults?

So we are allowing kids to vote and go kill/die in a war?

Strange world you live in.

Can someone tell me more about Brendan Walker of the Blades? He has some impressive stats and seemed sort of humble on the show on Sportsnet, but I've heard mixed reports on him otherwise, not in much detail though ... Some say Molleken "entrusted the wrong vets"and that Walker isn't a good choice for captain? ... Something along those lines ... I may be completely off-base here, that's why I'm asking, so I don't want this taken as a personal attack lol.

Overall do Saskatoon lack chemistry? A good dressing room is always important as we know ... And the Cataractes had that problem last year. But with the time off they figured it out in time ...

That's too bad, I didn't know that. I don't support war for any race/gender at any age haha. And 20 is barely an adult, when I see evander Kane and Taylor hall I do not see adults. Not quite worthy of the title yet.

But uhh yeah, how bout them blazers. Back home tomorrow to hopefully clinch the series. Royals have had it rough with injuries. Magee and bozon both out, maybe from the scrap. What's the predictions for the east now that a couple series are done?

Him and Bozon were out, I was talking to Bozon and he said that he went for the warm-up and he said he couldn't take the pain so he sat out for the game. Magee I am not sure, Lowry had no comment on it, I respect that and understand that we shouldn't know about it.

Phillips, your expertise is required.

What is the scouting report on Kessy? He just got traded to the Oilers for Rieder.

Thanks

Big winger, got some skill but benefited by playing with Smith and Lipon this season on Kamloops, nose for the net and is a bit of an agitator.

At least he took advantage of his time with those two guys. Seems to be doing good in the playoffs so far.

Thanks
