Canadiens/U2 song

I know it may have been already posted but I was searching for a U2 song, the one that plated when the Habs went on ice at the beginning of the game. I always thought it was : where the streets have no name but it isn't.

Thanks in advance!

It's Fix You by Coldplay. The part where they come on the ice starts at about 2:35.

What is with the Canadians and U2?

I'll never understand why they use "Vertigo" when ever the Habs score a goal, it's gotta be the worst song ever used when a home team scores. Well, I'm sure there has been worst but still....

Habs fan should form a campaign to get the Canadians to change it, reading Habs fans posts in the past about their disgust with it I betcha you wouldn't have a problem getting signatures.

I'm pretty sure there was one made...if it got to the appropriate people, I haven't a sniff

I'm pretty sure its City of Blinding Lights by U2 that they play as they announce the starting lineup. Thats the same clip where they show the progression of the Habs logo and some of the moments, then cut to the players in the starting lineup.

I think the Coldplay song was for something else, maybe the retirement of Beliveau?

nope.. try downloading and you'll see. Fix you is the song they play when they get on the ice.. i'm sure it is, not the begining of the song.. it's near the middle of it.

For the first half of the season they played U2 - City of Blinding Lights during the pre-game video. In the second half, they played U2 - All Because of You. Both songs were followed by an instrumential portion from Coldplay - Fix You as the Canadiens come on the ice (it starts right as the little kids carrying the Habs flag go around the ice).

Actually, what's with the Bell Centre and playing ****** music?

This is a game for men, this is a game of speed and toughness..play something that rocks.

With U2, Coldplay, and all the rest of that boring placid "rock", not to mention the dance tunes and crappy pop they play..you'd think I was going to some teenyboppers club or something.

It sends chills down my spine. Especially when you start the volume low and turn it up gradually as it starts

The U2 Song gives me goose bumps too, I get pumped bigtime whenever i hear it because I picture the Habs coming out and all the cool pics on the ice in the dark with the fans going crazy!

Another good song that could pump the team and fans would be:
Metallica "Enter Sandman"
or
AC/DC "Thunderstruck"
