Top 10 Forwards in Buffalo Sabres History: #4

Thanks to everyone for voting in Poll 3, the winner was Rick Martin.

Time now for Poll #4 where I added Dale Hawerchuk, if you wish to see me add someone let me know.

Also remember you are voting based upon a player's time with the team in ? not the overall sum of his career.

Here's a list of all the forwards to have played for the Buffalo Sabres:

In Poll 4 I voted for Dave Andreychuk

Here are the results so far:

1) Gilbert Perreault
2) Pat Lafontaine
3) Rick Martin

Mogilny here, followed by Gare. Mogilny at his peak was unstoppable. 76 goals in 77 games. That's only behind Gretzky, Hull and Lemieux all-time.

This one is hard. Considering Andreychuk, Mogilny, Robert and Vanek for #4.

Andreychuk was the team best player for about 3-5 years, taking over Perreault's reign as top forward. Then Turgeon (who should be in this poll really soon IMO) came in and stole the spotlight. Still, Andreychuk had a fruitful and long career in Buffalo.

Mogilny really had one awesome season, playing wing for Lafontaine and scoring 76 goals for the team season highest goals record. He still had some other good season but nothing as flashy. He was also drafted by BUF.

Robert came out of nowhere to complete the french connection. He didn't have the reputation of his linemates, but still, he has the myth factor surrounding him that could make him take the #4 spot. Couple this with consitent high-qualitystats and he is a serious contender.

Vanek might be overlooked because he's newer and he's playing in a lower stats era. But he's been consistently good (top 3 team forwards) and a face of the franchise for now 7 years (beating Mogilny, Lafontaine, Hawerchuk, Peca and other nominees in that regard). He's also a dominant player. Actually scrat that, the more I think about it, the more I would take Hawerchuk before him.

I pick Robert, because of his renown and resume. He also finished on top in points (for the team) a couple of time.

Add Pierre Turgeon.

took Criag Ramsay here 4th all time in scoring and had an excellent 2 way game as well.

Andreychuck is 2nd in scoring but is too much of a one trick pony, ie PP guy to be this high IMO.

Here are the all time eladers in the playoffs for the Sabres as well
