Nope...
Like with most women I know...
They will just run off and sign the paper with someone else.

In all seriousness, it really depends.
They will only sign if they like you, and see you as an opportunity.

Barring any surprises (you never know in the NHL, ie. Iginla), I think Laganiere will be signing here. His agent has only opened up to Vancouver media, they have been interested in him for the past two years, and has attended Gillis training camp, which displays some of the best facilities in the NHL.

Laganiere and Lain adds some solid depth to the Canucks.

Ok I think I might be spacing on something obvious here, but I've figured out (from the KWings twitter account) that Myron has been scratched with the note "MS" before the last three games. What's MS stand for? He's not the only player with it beside his name.

Do they ever write HS?

I'm assuming it means medical scratch.

Looks like Tömmernes isn't heading over just yet, selected to the national team for the Euro Hockey Challange.

I'm all for it. I'll prepare a rough draft letting him know he's a doody-head just in case.

So if I understand this right, if Yale wins their game tomorrow (opponent TBD) they move on to the Frozen Four and won't play again until April 11th. We could still be another 2 weeks away from knowing where he wants to go. Or even longer if he takes his time. Stupid NCAA schedule.

Sauve continues to put up points in Kalamazoo. He scored on the powerplay tonight in the first period. I'm staying with my prediction that he'll be signed to a new contract.

Next year the Wolves will have Andersson, Price, Corrado, Tommernes and Polasek already. If they sign at least 1 veteran D for the farm (and they always have) it might come down to keeping one of Connauton or Sauve.

Interesting. Perhaps the Canucks will have a new AHL affiliate, owned and controlled by the big club, and they'll break with precedent. Or perhaps they'll consider Connauton, entering his third season in the A, a veteran (I know, not exactly the stabilizing presence you'd expect).

Then there's the possibility that a spot is opened up when one of those young, right handed shots makes the Canucks ...
