I'm assuming he's most likely to sign a one year deal and get to UFA this summer?

Has there been any chatter about him signing for multiple years?

Wait, really? We're at a 90% likelihood of seeing the Yeti now? I'm buying a lottery ticket. It will be awesome if his game can transfer over to the NA style well.

That's why Pens brought over Douglas Murray, for him to help them steal Yeti from us?

,
Actually, when I first announced Bruins were talking to Soderberg coming over and that he wanted to it was 89%.

A week later when Dreger announced it, I raised it to 90%.

So, I don't know why you think it's funny

Dom, it was actually 89%, but when you tweeted it, people thought I was only 2% (being generous). After Dreger said it, it went to 90%, because he's the only one with any sources, didn't you know?

Thanks Dom.

Between the Iginla mess and seeing Soderberg's team rolling in their playoffs I was beginning to worry that might go south too. Good to hear its still a good possibility.

If the Federation balks, they should send Neely over to discuss. He's probably got some pent up frustration to vent!

I believe the Yeti is coming the day he shows up at Logan with a contract in hand.

Until then I wouldn't be planning any line combinations for him.

Would be nice to see him come-if his team goes all the way, what is the soonest that would be finished up and he would be available to the Bruins?

2-1 Linköping second intermission. One short-handed goal by Yeti, and he's +2.

He'll be here when he's here. I would rather have him play well in the SEL playoffs and come in on a high, then the other way around. Svedberg was able to carry that momentum from an MVP caliber performance in the SEL playoffs to a great year in the AHL.

I'm more worried about the SWE hockey federation than I am about Soderberg changing his mind. He's ready.

I believe their playoffs end right around when our season ends

I'm of the opinion that chia should offer him a decent one year deal (3 mill?) something to entice him

Evaluate, re-sign on a longer term if he does well

People always **** on Caron. I have actually been pretty impressed with him. Very responsible defensively, gets the puck out of the d zone, gets the puck deep in the o zone, works his *** off along the boards and for the most part, wins the boards battles.

Sure, he doesnt create too much for himself but neither has ANYONE on that third line. Whats happened the few games he hasnt played on the 3rd with that corps JP? Oh yea he tallies an assist off a very strong play. One with Pevs and Kelly. One with Looch and Pevs.

I think he'd look darn good with Pevs and the Yeti.

Edit: a bit off topic, sorry for the rant

Will there be enough games for Soderberg to adjust to North American hockey before the playoffs start? Clode doesn't give two ****s about his size or how many goals he scored in Sweden; if he can't skate his lane, he's not taking Jay Pandolfo's spot.

Skellefteå tie it with 32 secs left after Linköping played 3 minutes in the offensive zone and the refs ignore a blatant penalty when Carl is chopped down, after which Skellefteå come up in LHC zone, play around 20 seconds and get lucky. Oh well.

Refs ignore a blatant penalty against him that leads to a goal?

Kid was made to be a Bruin.

If that's the case, Soderberg will be ready for the officiating in the first game against the Habs

It didn't directly lead to the goal, but it lead to Skellefteå escaping the zone and pulling their goalie.
In my frustration it seemed like a blatant penalty at least, and that the refs ignored it because of the situation it came in. They never show replays of those situations, though.

Highlights, if you want to see Carl's goal, etc.
