i read that doctors were quite shocked in how bad condition shoulder was, and then they were shocked for second time how quickly shoulder was healed.
Jagr is fine, he is only bit overweight as usually every summer
Supposedly he's ok.Anyone know if it this shoulder injury from 01' was the on the same side? That might explain why a seemingly harmless play sidelined him.

In addition to his shoulder and ever present groin issues, I still have a bit of worry about the pinky.
Jagr downplayed it's seriousness last year, but as the year progressed, in tiny camera spots, it was taped and immobilized more and more as the year progressed (as well as additional padding to his glove). As miniscule as it seems, a player of Jagr's needs full dexterity and I hope to see it fully healed for this season (if for anything, to lessen the appeal of guided slashes).
But there was an article around here somewhere with JJ talking about his rehab plans...first to skate to get his conditioning back.....than light drills all building towards camp where he is expected to be fit to dominate the NHL like never before......once he figures out the bionic components of his new arm it's going to be awesome.

I'm really skeptic about Jagr this year. I really have no idea what to expect. Same goes for Prucha.
Jagr can def rebound from his injuries, but theres that question if hes still going to have the same drive as he did last season. I don't think he'll put up the same points as he did with Shanny now in the fold. Don't get me wrong i hope for alot from Jags, but we don't know which jagr we will get.
Prucha is one make or break his name this season. If he can rebound from his injury and play with the same tenacity as he did last season, then its a plus. But if he comes back as a perimeter player, then id give him little time to get his game back. If no change happens, then i say ship him while we have some Value.

There both going to do ok. I think Jagr will score less overall this year, because Shanny being on the second line hopefully means, we'll have two really strong lines. If Prucha's on the same line (which is probably the case), then he'll have somebody to watch his back, and hopefully he'll still play with the same all out style of his. I think they'll both be fine.
On a side note to all you Prucha fan's out there the "Prucha song" ,is actually a song called Dschingis Khan by Dschingis Khan. I just ahem... aquired it. It'll make you laugh.
"Sie ritten um die Wette mit dem Steppenwind, tausend Mann (Haa, Huu, Haa)
Und einer ritt voran, dem folgten alle blind, Dschingis Khan"

Reason: punctuation

It's in German? Why did I think it was in Czech? I can translate about half - so I won't bother mangling it here. Any native speakers who can give us a proper translation?
Well I think the hit was shoulder to shoulder but the only visible injury was the cut on his head. I could be wrong the olympics where back in feb. so I could be wrong. If someone can find the hit in question on you tube, we might be able to get a better idea. But back on topic, I think Jag's shoulder should be good to go by camp and damn near 100% come October 5th. The only thing that I can see being a problem and those of you who have broken bones/ torn muscles, know that with certain temperatures you feel more pain than others. So I wonder if the temp. in the areans will play a factor on his comfort during the season. Is it a stretch maybe but I know when its cold out or rainy out my collar bone and ankle both of which I have broken feel really uncomfortable. Not excruciating pain but just discomfort. So I can see that being a slight factor that he will have to learn to deal with and i'm sure will. Again just throwing the idea out there .
To me signing of Rozsival for two years is an indirect confirmation of Jagr being ok. Rozy is most effective only when plays with JJ. I think unknown Jagr status was the real reason why Rozsival's signing was delayed up to August.
