I wanted him pretty bad. I kept waiting for Homer to pull the trigger but it never happened.

I'll change my avatar to anything of your choosing for a year if that happens. The top is the following in some order:

Yakupov
Schultz
Hamilton
Huberdeau
Galchenyuk
Tarasenko
Kuznetsov
Zibanejad
Baertschi
Rielly

The leader board is nice to see.

Also Scott Laughton is the 2nd star of the night according to buzzing the net.

we still have Sullentrop playing for the Generals, though you can't really gage his game with points

He didn't even make the top 50. Disappointed. Really, really, really disappointed. Laughton has been on a tear since being returned from Philadelphia. Also very surprised and disappointed that Cousins didn't make the list either when there were numerous players who were on the list who aren't even of Cousins' or Laughton's caliber.

NCAA hockey tournament is underway with Minnesota facing Yale. Mark Alt is in the lineup for Minny.

I know most (including myself) are more excited about the recent draft picks like Cousins and Laughton but Akeson is having another good year in the AHL. Considering he hasn't really had much to work with (especially last season) i think his numbers are fairly impressive. In 51 games he's put up 44 pts w/ 14 goals (thats a .863 ppg pace compared to .724 ppg last yr). That matching his high in goals from last year in 25 less games. He didn't really get to play with Schenn or Couturier much as he spent the beginning of the season in the ECHL but since rejoining the phantoms it seems like the whole offense runs through him. He's still pretty young at 22 yo and has really improved his play in his own zone this year and considering it's only his 2nd year pro and his improvement in all zones of the ice, i imagine he'll be on the short list of call-up in the near future.

Minnesota just lost 5 seconds into OT vs. Yale. I guess we'll see if Alt signs a contract.

8/10 correct is pretty solid. I'm pretty surprised they put Jaden Schwartz @ 7 and that they still consider Granlund top 10. The worst pick on the list though for me has to be Chris Kreider @ #11. How overrated can he get?

They use the term "prospect' very loosely.

Here is a not so great (the video quality isn't great but that's understandable) highlight reel of Kyle Flanagan.

He ties his skates like a pro . The highlights start at 0:40.

Laughton with an assist tonight in a 3-2 win. Oshawa wins the series 4-1.

Cousins with 3 assists and Alderson with an assist in a 5-3 loss. Owen Sound leads the series 3-2.

Laughton I can see MAYBE cracking the top 50, but again most scouts have him pegged as a #2C/#3C Tell me, which guys in the top 50 were you outraged to see ranked ahead of Laughton? Because on a quick glance, I didn't really see any terrible picks. I guess you could say there's a few 2012 draftees on that list who are ranked ahead of Laughton purely because they went ahead of him in the draft, but IDK, it doesn't seem like Laughton being left off was a terrible mistake to me. I'm excited about him as a prospect, but realistically he's not top 50 in the NHL RIGHT NOW... that could all change though if he sustains the level of play he's shown after he was sent back.

The one thing that's semi-frustrating is the inconsistency with which they handle guys who have gotten rather old. Like Brendan Smith. Kid is 24 and has 0 goals, 3 assists in 24 games for the Red Wings this year. Does he really belong in the top 15? What about Ryan Ellis... offense only defenseman, he's 22, he's played 60 unspectacular games in the NHL, and he was decidedly mediocre in the AHL this year too... don't think he belongs in the top 30.
It wouldn't surprise me if Cousins ended up the better player...he reminds me of marchand

Not saying he isn't having a horrible season, but almost everyone on that team is in the minuses.

Manning seems to not use his stick or play the body well or something. The one game I saw of him, a forward circled around the net evading him and scored on a wrister, with Manning not trying to get his stick off the puck, even though he was standing right there.
