Cause that would mean that Kane was really bad!

I don't get how some of you guys that worship "grit" or whatever are going to stand here and go to the mattresses for the laziest player on the team.

It's more like you're defending the very idea of Bolland, of the value of having a gritty, Canadian, defensive, hard-working hockey player. And I added "Canadian" because otherwise Marcus Kruger is that player and we all know how you feel about him. No one seems to defending Michael Frolik much at all either, even though he has a better playoff record than Bolland over the last two seasons. Nobody's calling him a WARRIOR.

Over those last two seasons. Lol. Get back to me when Frolik shuts down Henrik Sedin and Joe Thornton while contributing 0.727 PPG on the offensive end during a 20+ game run to the Cup Finals. Until then, get real. Bolland's a playoff warrior over 49 career playoff games, not 11.

Thought I'd take a look at the fancy stats sites a bit. Yup eye test confirmed. Bolland relative corsi 163rd among centers that have played 20 games this season.

Shocking, just shocking.

it's horrible. only 3 forwards on the hawks had neg corsi, kane, bolland, sharp, and bollands was way more neg than kane or Sharp. it's beyond mere coincidence.

Are you high? Bolland was fantastic 2 years ago in the playoffs. They wouldn't have forced it to 7 games without him.

Wouldn't have forced Nucks to 7 without Frolik as well

Bolland has played well in the playoffs
Bolland has not helped the team in the standings the last 2 years anywhere close to expectations or talent level when taking into account health, hot/cold streaks, and likely trade returns.

I don't think one can be argued well without acknowledging the other. Is it better to have a better playoff matchup or a better performer? For those the heavily weight postseason results above all else, I think the argument is against having kept Bolland since a first round exit is worthless among those types.

Anyway, that's hindsight. I've wanted him gone, now I think it's better that he stays.

Another absolutely embarrassing performance by Bolland

- No points in 18 of 27 games
- 1 goal in last 17 games

27 games on year = 5 goals + 7 assists for -4

Dear Dave Bolland,

Shoot the damn puck! You're not Patrick Kane with the fancy passes!

Certainly not worth a cap hit of $3,375,000.

It's time to break up the second line.

Morin - Kruger - Kane

Carcillo - Bolland - Frolik

What on earth has Carcillo done to warrant being moved up to 3rd line?

Another failure at #2 C and a guy with next to 0 NHL experience on Kanes wing. That will really solve all our problems.

Or Bowman can just stop beating around the bush and call up Pirri.

I've seen enough of Jimmy Hayes, as well. Send him back down and bring up Morin.

Should have 3 years ago when it was obvious we needed a #2 C.

Hm? Nah. Hawks need to keep all 15 of their good prospects, all of them are going to make the team soon. Plus every player on every other team sucks and is overpaid. Good job Stan.
