I love this thread, i hate when people saying Corey Crawford should be playing more, but no Ray Emery has been great, he should be starting for now on, i bet Johnny Oduya would agree with me, i bet Corey Crawford has getting on his nerves too.

One guy has a bad game, he gets **** on like the guns of navarone. The other guy has a bad game, complete silence. One guy has a good game, good, good to see him getting back on track, refreshing. The other guy has a good game, make him the starter, plan the parade. That's been getting on my nerves.

Perhaps Johnny should try to stop being the direct cause for so many goals against. I imagine he's getting on his own nerves quite a bit at the moment. I bet Corey Crawford would agree with me.

Crawford is our number 1 and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Everybody brings up Razor's game against Edmonton, but to counter that how about Crow's game against Colorado on March 8th?

One thing I will say Razor is better than Crow at is rebound control.

Ray Emery is like Floyd Mayweather, the guy goes out, preforms, is consistent, a sure bet to not cost you, and undefeated yet people dissect him and criticize him. Crawford is like Manny Pacquiao, coming off losses but yet still has people making excuses for him and place him on a pedestal. Hawks have 4 losses, but if Emery started in some of our losses instead of Crawford then some of those games probably would have turned into wins. This team realistically would have less than 4 losses right now with Emery in those games with the exception the Avalanche loss. Let's be honest.

Lol, did you become a Hawk fan right before this last game? Emery has had more than his fair share of inconsistency too.

Not sure, but Emery could find a #1 job in the NHL again as free agent

Something about Emery makes me think at this stage in his career he'd be more calm in net during important playoff games than Crawford.

every team with need for goaltending will take a look at him. Much like Theodore when he went to the Panthers.

I could see BUF giving him a contract to go with Enroth and Emery while they are trying to find a new #1. (assuming they trade Miller)

So yeah. Borderline maybe for a few teams but nowhere near a certified #1.

I am not a fan of either goalie but they both looked like and played like Tony 0 during most of the streak, just crazy good...yes the hawks as a team were amazing but during that time you could count on 1 hand how many bad goals either gave up...ONE HAND!

Since then Emery has had a couple stinkers but imo CC has all but lost his game...and confidence yet again.

To me Crawford plays like he has something to lose and it wears on him at times...where as Emery just plays...

I think he gets the net FIRST come playoff time BUT I have no doubt Q will go to Emery this year if CC sh/ts the bed again in the PO's.

Bottom line is, we still need a #1 but we have a GM/FO who again will do nothing to resolve this come next off season so it is what it is folks...

never said he would start on lots of teams. Emery may get the chance if he doesn't sign back with us

Crawford has to be the starter and Emery has been superb in support.

But like a few on here, I believe our goaltenders will become the Hawks Achilles Heel come playoff time when it matters.

I hope I'm wrong.

Emery played well tonight. Lack of offense let him down.

Nevertheless, Crawford is the #1 goalie and there should be no question about that.

Exactly, the knee jerking on this forum is amazing. People are making decisions based on a 2 game stretch and not the entire season and past performances.

I think Ray has played well enough to get the start tomorrow afternoon.

PS .... Bishop is still available. Bernier as well, but the price tag may be too high for him.
